Resolved 1.5.7 - Game crashing when I try to launch new campaign

Hi. I tested the new 1.5.7 on old saves (from 1.5.6) and it ran normally. However, if I connect to the game and select New campaign, I get to the screen with the riders and instead of loading the new campaign effort (choose culture, create character, etc) the game crashes. In fact the screen freezes and then the game simply ends without any message.
Is there something I can do to make the game run?

I'm not sure why, but I initially had this issue. I did a fresh install of the game, then reset Steam, and it worked. I know others have had some luck with that too. If that doesn't work, try all the basic stuff: update GPU drivers, verify game cache integrity, restart your PC if you haven't already.
