Hello! Here is the summary of what I found:

Description: Sometimes "the Art of the Trade" village notable quest offers 0 goods for 0 gold. In my last save, I completed the quest by buying 0 Aserai horses in Hunab for 0 gold but got renown for the quest.

How to Reproduce: Look for notables offering "the Art of the Trade" in Aserai villages, possibly ones with high value trade goods such as horses.

I play the same version as You and haven't run in this issue. Perhaps its not global but only on some villages or some mod messes it up?
