I try to get the last Sturgian Vassal to join my faction. He is inside his castle, no own troops (edit, wrote army before). I don't have access to my stack of 2 dozens crafted javelins, which would make the thing much easier.

Do you have a save file of session that you experienced this issue? With your save file, we can reproduce the issue much easier and faster. You can find your save file here:
