Crafted items end up in shops and tournament prizes even if you just destroy them at the smithy.

The vanilla game currently doesn't set the NotMerchandise flag on player-crafted items, causing them to be produced by Workshops in towns and thus making them appear in the town shops.

This mod used to fix it but doesn't work anymore.
 
I don't have my save anymore, but with the info provided the issue appears to be missing NotMerchandise flag for created items.
 
This bug still exist in 1.5.5
This problem is since the game started. In my profiles, I often crafter hundreds, even thousands weapons in a single game (the easiest was to get lot of amount of XP and for gold in a short time when you have recepies), and I literally hate it, when I see it. But the most of them are expensive, so they are apearing in the most richest cities (must be 9000+).
 
Is this going to get fixed? "IsCrafted" material needs a "NotMerchandise" flag. Mods that do this require Harmony, Butterlib and other nonsense to get going.
 
Also exists in the 1.5.6. Beta. New game started in 1.5.6., had my Bumbletumbles appear in shops and subsequently in an arena.
 
Well, I'd argue it could work like that if you sold the items. But it's strange if you smelted them.

That is indeed true. But afaik, most people use crafting to complete quests or to make money on the side.

To me, selling these things right now can be using exploits. Thats why I smelt all y bumbletumbles (I call all of my bad smithed things bumbletumble)
 
I have been informed that this issue is fixed on our development branch and the fix will be implemented with the upcoming patches. Thanks for reporting!
