When I order my horse archers to charge they constantly run into enemy infantry formations and die needlessly. Before the update they avoided enemies just fine and now I need to micromanage them like it's warband all over again
If anyone has a video of previous horse archer behavior and the current, that would help.
I would do it but I have a truly potato laptop and it won't look good.
I don't capture video but I can confirm (still using 1.4.3) that horse cav via F4 will focus on horse archers or cav.
If the cav retreats into their own lines, the horse cav will not charge through the infantry and will instead keep their distance. I have to specifically use F3 to get them to engage. Not sure if Nvidia or Steam lets you capture footage without having to download something like Fraps but I can try to capture something tonight.
Yup. I went up against some looters and they killed my Mameluke Heavy Cavalry. Say it to yourself out loud... Looters killed Mameluke Heavy Cavalry. I was mystified. It's just not something that should be able to happen. Unless the looters walked up on my Soldiers while they were sleeping, there's just no dimension in the multiverse where a looter can kill a Mameluke Heavy Cavalry... especially when that cav is supported by other melee infantry and foot archers. Definitely not improved. If I recall correctly they actually claimed that was something they fixed. Not sure how they define that though. When I order my horse archers to charge they constantly run into enemy infantry formations and die needlessly.
