Regular
the new auto calculation system is nice
it takes into account all armour pieces, weapons types, shields, horses, speed, charge, horse weight, unit weight and skills!!!!!!!
the formula is complex yet wholesome with alot of additions and multi players to balance the overall simulation
however cavalry is heavily nerfed the best cavalry is 240% worse than the best infantry in it
edit:after looking at the codes with the community saw that i was wrong
edit:title changed to auto simulations

Interesting to know how have you reach to this conclusion. I have not read anything like this in patch notes.

Have you find It looking game files or how?

I have just stopped playing new char I created yesterday seeing that when I finally was nearing to get my group to T3 and join Sturgia half of Northern Empire is in Khuzait posession and half of Southern in Aserai. If there was option of making aliances I would still try but as of now it is pointless. Pity I wanted to see those new perks of twohanders. I doubt that new autocalc nerfed much those horse armies. (I wish Sturgian Raiders being T5 with warhorses got finally horse amor though.) Will see next char.

yeah, the shame is that the mods that apply XP multipliers are not supported for the Beta branch... It's annoying to test the beta how it is, they should add cheats to expedite the leveling process so we can test the perks.

mounted bonues should be buffed again the reason it was op because nothing else mattered alas, thats no more
It doesn't concern me much because they usually balance everything in an exaggeration to fix it for the main branch most of the time.
"Don't you worry don't you worry child, see, heaven has got a plan for you"

yeah, I could, gonna do just that soon™

Btw, I've always hated the Khergit, so I hate the Khuzait, seeing them get wiped is always pleasurable! hahaha

They are way too annoying to deal with, in WB Khergit was annoying in-battle, in BL they are a bit less annoying in battle but much more annoying in the Campaign Map due to the ludicrous speed buff

Sounds interesting. The autocalc system really needed to be overhauled, this sounds like a massive step in the right direction. Now that Cavalry is no longer extremely overpowered, and the autocalc system is much more complex, perhaps Cavalry ended up being weaker than they should be (who would've thought!). I am confident Taleworlds will reach a good point of balance eventually.

In my new game the Khuzait is in war against 4 factions at about day 60, they taken several empire lands though. I wonder if the AI considers the auto calc power in declaring wars too, like if it directly changes the power rating?

It is a disaster for modders. Just imagine "i added cool wolf hat for my units" and all faction balance goes to hell.

Just edit the attributes of the helmet....
And if i want all my troops to wear this helmet i need just to create 10 of this helmets with different stats. Looks easy.

Thats why we have no content at all. Devs are working on creating problems for themself.

1) AI doesnt use this system, becouse he never thinks about troop composition
2) Player doesnt use it, becouse he uses troops that he likes or troops that perfroms good on the battlefield
3) It create a tons of balance problems for devs and modders.

But on paper it sounds cool, nice priorities devs. I like things that does nothing but sounds cool on paper.

Next time pls add system that allows cows to grow and die in real time. Or even better - allow grass on the battlefield grow in real time. It is far better then working perks or not braindead AI. And CPU will be happy about this.

Yo, people on this forum and on Reddit have been asking for a more sophisticated autocalc. We just got it, delivered within a few weeks.

I just dont know why. It adds nothing but pain to the modders and potentional exploits like autoresolve spam in TW2 rome.

It may be can add new "autoresolve" style of play. But ffs battles are the best part of this game.

You are complaining about a problem you are creating for yourself. (y)

I just dont know why.

The biggest reason? As far back as Warband (at least that far) people complained that the autoresolve was wack. You fought two forest bandits with an army of 150 and lost three Swadian Knights or Fian Champions. It was not even remotely possible to replicate by playing the battle out, so during the endgame you were forced to manually fight out "battles" that were so hilariously lopsided there was zero point to doing anymore than telling your cav to charge, then tabbing away to do something else until you heard cheering.

And in the endgame of Warband/Bannerlord there are still a lot of those battles. It is even a bit worse in Bannerlord because gaining XP is primarily done through such battles, so even if you want to skip over them, circumstances might dictate that you do them in order to build up troop numbers for garrisons, other clan parties, training quests, troop reserves, etc.

I thought the looters don't kill aspect of the initial release was a response to that, that it was an admission by TW that they knew the autocalc was dumb and it was a grind to get through enough fights in order to upgrade troops, but here's this new feature: looters will never kill your men, only wound them. Only, as it turns out, there was no such thinking going on: autoresolved fights were giving 8x XP as manual ones and looters failing to kill was solely based on a bug and their only have blunt weapons available.

Oops.

"No one" is possibly going too far, but very few actually enjoy the grind-out XP battles between their established party and a much smaller group of bandits or low-level troops.

I personally skip a lot of castle sieges because my laptop runs at 20 fps on a good battle and during sieges runs more like 5 or 6.

It is good reason, but you can just tweak numbers and thats all. For example 10 to 90 balance power - and your troops can be only wounded. Better tactic skill will just increase this number up to 30 to 70 for example. Thats all.

And btw, did someone test it already?
