Resolved [1.4.0 beta] CTD on attempt to load game or start new campaign

Game crashes immediately on trying either one.
Single player not playable at all.

Specs: 1080, i9 9900, 32gb, NVMe SSD.


You guys are probably aware, but just in case.

Same problem game return desktop immediately.

I can't start a new game or load any saved game.

game version: 1.4 beta

i5 6500
16 GB ram
1660 ti
game installed on 970 evo ssd

We have released a hotfix for the crash on 1.4.0 beta version and it should be working now. If you did not get an update (9.7mb) try restarting your Steam clients. Have fun playing!

After the hotfix it is working smoothly. Thanks for taking care of so quick. Problem solved.

I reverted to 1.3 then back to 1.4 again and the beta 1.4 patch works for me now. Icons for a town under seige rocks...
