1.153 Server HTTP problem

Users who are viewing this thread

Hi, I've installed the latest version (1.153) of Warband on my Debian server (amd_64). When I start a Warband server it just prints the following message to the console: 'fixme:winhttp:WinHttpOpen (L"Mount Blade HTTP", 0, (null), (null), 0x0): stub'
I can see the server on the serverlist, but I can't connect to it without getting the 'Incorrect authorization key' error.
The server is started via wine on version 1.4.

I hope you can help me.

Using gentoo linux (amd64 as well) with wine 1.3.33 or 1.4.5 built from git and warband dedicated server 1.153, no dll overrides or anything fancy, just running "wine mb_warband_dedicated.exe -r cfg.txt -m Module" works perfectly with no wine error or debug messages, allowing connections from a 1.135 client running on the same computer.

Does the 1.52 dedicated server executable work on your system?

Thanks for your replies. When I wanted to test your suggestions wine hadn't worked in any way. After killing the wineserver ("wineserver -k") five times (maybe a bit more) all worked fine. I'm not sure why but it works.

Kind of necro-posting, but still, maybe helps a few people. Had the same problem, Squeeze, 64bit. Solution was to download and use the latest Wine packages from http://dev.carbon-project.org/debian/wine-unstable/

One of the packages (I think libwine-alsa-unstable) will not install correctly, since one of the required packages is too old, if you are using the stable debian repository. Feel free to ignore it, since it's a sound module and that's something what really not necessary for a Warband server.
