...if you are willing to pay for the full game again to download it.

(Incidentally at the bottom it says that customers who bought this game also bought a game called "I Love Kittens"  Makes you wonder dont it?)

Seriously though this is complete and utter bs that I suspect is supposed to entice some people to go and pay for the game again. Well I for one am not going to buy it again because if we do then there is much more incentive for them to pull this crap again in the future.

With all due respect, Mount&Blade is a fantastic game but there is absolutely no justification for not releasing it online at the same time so that those of us who played the beta, loved it, told our friends, spread the word about the game, etc. can get it at the same time everyone else can.

And I know it doesnt come out in Europe until the 19th (from what I have read) but I understand there is a way to limit the server so that it only allows users in certain locations to download something.

(Of course we all know that the moment 1.0 is release, everyone including myself will stop *****ing and the forums will go silent for at least a day )

Of course, it's their choice to release it to who they like but after all the forumers have done, they've helped with bug reports. People can say all they want about us having played the game before anyone else, but ultimately, the game wouldn't even be anywhere near completion by now without their help and I think it's a tad unfair for it not to be at least released on the same DAY as the retail copy.

I don't suppose we'll find out the reason, but still. Meh.

If it's going to made available to those of who have already paid, it should be available to all at the same time, not using the manner you suggest. That's even more unfair on those in Europe.

So basically, you want it now and everyone else can wait longer? Please.

No you misunderstood me. If it were up to me I would release it first to everyone who paid for it and played the beta (America, Europe, etc. all at the same time) and then have the retail releases or at the very least do both at the same time. I simply pointed out that if they wanted to they could block downloads from Europe to preempt anyone who put forth that argument.

I think blocking by region is a very bad idea for anything. It didn't work for DVDs and blocking by region on the net is entirely reliable.

I agree completely I was just saying that if they wanted to be jerks they could block certain regions.

Because posting in a topic that you hate, thereby bumping it up to the top, will make it go away.

Then I wouldn't be able to download it.

Anyway, this is not a scam pulled by the developers! They didn't want this press release to be leaked, and it was not their fault. People playing it at the moment (unless they are reviewers, whom I assume the press release is for), are not doing so legitimately. Please can we stop blaming Armagan?

This wasn't an attack against you, I just think that many people are getting angry with the developer for something that was out of their control.

Oh im not angry because of the press release being leaked. That kinda stuff happens alot and there is no controlling it. What im angry about is the fact that we are not even given a solid online release date for those of us who bought the game already and played it during beta. Even if they arent planning on letting us download the game till September 22nd or something I would much rather know that instead of having some ambiguously vague date such as "shortly after the retail release".

Once again I am not trying to be confrontational here I am just saying that it seems like a simple courtesy to tell us the date when it will be available, thats all I am asking right now.

I pretty much agree with this.  Though the argument that "we've been able to play the game for years" is somewhat valid, it feels rotten that we forum goers get 1.0 last.

No way I am going to re-purchase it. Anyway, it is just good to see that the game is 461 MB.

I thought the topic was about a silly joke but if it is not fake the game is out except mb official site

am I right?

That's a bit strange kind of behaviour, isn't it...

And I want my DVD box with Calradia map .

bit torrent does wonders really. I think that Armagan wanted to give peeps on the forums the game at the same time, but Paradox did not.....so is it not just kind of funny that a copy appears on the net available for D/L that works with serial keys?

I don't think Armagan is to blame but Paradox. It's too bad he got mixed up with them, I am not even sure they did anything at all to help him along...maybe with the final version. It's possible they helped in that area. A lot of professional animations and graphic improvements happened rapidly between version 9.60 and 1.0.

I just hope Armagan gives modders some awesome tools and possibilities with the game. Modders will carry this game to greatness.

The "leaked" final version originates from Paradox's own FTP server, so I imagine Paradox put it there.

As for the delay, we don't really know what the problem is. It could be there is some issue that couldn't be fixed in time for the retail release going gold so Armagan decided to delay the downloadable version until it is fixed. It's unfair to blame Paradox for this delay without any information; for all we know it could be Armagan ensuring we get to enjoy the game exactly as intended.

well ive already payed twice for the game (as some of you might know) so basically ive payed full price already... not really interested in paying for it one more time, especially since im currently unemployed and living on wellfare...

so heres hoping that 1.0 will be out for download soon.
