i think there should be a system where different weapons have different damage ranges depending how early or late the weapon strikes the target. for example, big heavy weapons such as halberds (put halberds in the game please) need to hit much later in the swing then lighter weapons, but do immense damage with a good solid hit, while light weapons such as daggers or short swords do almost the same amount of damage if they hit early rather then late in the swing, but they dont do really much damage.
im no physics expert, but i believe such a system also makes sence irl, because if somthing has more weight, it takes a lot to get it going and its slow to get moving, but it hits with more force at the end because of the extra weight behind it.
