Bastards go away and take the full plate and spirited charger with them... :-/

Anyway, from what I've seen all the relationships are mutual, i.e. if char 1 likes char 2, then char 2 likes char 1 back.

It makes sense for marnid to like borcha's company. They both been through the whole M&B storyline as long as they both remembered. They have kicked and got their arse kicked plenty of times with whichever bumbling leader wants to hire them

Rather, 2 war vets who have seen all the changes in M&B has to offer. Everybody else doesnt know how the old vaegir and swadians kingdoms are except for both of them. Borcha hates Klethi and Bashavi because they are taking his role as a recon and Marnid hates Ayalen and Barthestur because they are brutish thugs.

not to mention the thousand jokes we made between them *wink* *winK*.

Hey dude ! Hey dude ! Mandrid's pregnant .!
by who ?
borcha !
not again...

Wandering around near Praven, a conversation with Katrin popped up out of nowhere in which she was blabbing about harvests in her homeland and wheat and ale and junk. What's that about? It was a nice touch of NPC interaction, but does it mean anything? As far as I can tell her satisfaction with the status of my party hasn't changed since. Is this something all NPCs have now?

Good grief, I feel like I'm managing a freaking popularity contest with *ALL* of them.  :???:

We need a leadership modifier that makes them shut up for a while.

I thought I had screen cap'd this when I was there, but it was a quite nice bit about how Grunwalder was Da Man for teaching everyone to fight against the Rhodoki (I think) and showed everyone how to hold the line. Just run with Bunduk across the lake near Ellesmera (sp?) Castle and I'm sure he'll quote something there...

Stupid screen cap

I found it, it's in my signature

So... if enough of them dislike each other - which they do automatically - they will all desert, and there's absolutely nothing you can do to prevent it...? Yeah, that's great gameplay right there. Please tell me there's something you can do to keep your party together? Having a party of 15 heroes with their own personalities sounds so awesome, I'd begin wondering about exactly what the developers were thinking if they had them all ditch the player for no logical reason, and without the player being able to do squat about it.

Not all. Each has some dislikes, with some having more dislikes than others. In theory, you could have 6-7 heroes in absolute harmony, but you have to pick the right ones.
Armagan probably did it so people don't create an uber-powerful immortal wonder crew of 16 fully-armed and trained heroes ( not that 7 isn't enough  )

Although i do think you should be able to use your persuasion skill to keep some of those that are always *****ing.
I also hate the fact that the doctor guy is so useful skill-wise and yet he dislikes fighting... I constanly fight, so i had to let him go.....Better boost that wound treatment now >_>

They're not all powerful and immortal. This isn't Warcraft or something, where "Hero" means "Giant übermench who can shoot fireballs from his hands". They're 16 people. Just 16 guys with swords. Sure, they don't technically "die", but you'll still have to invest a lot of time in them before one of them can best a Hired Blade head-on. Here's a tip for the developers: How about, if you want the game to be harder, not make it so that a relatively normally skilled player can afford the best freaking armour after five/six battles and tournaments, (Especially tournaments.), instead of killing a large chunk of entertainment value by forcing the heroes to leave the player at their own freaking whims?!

The main question is: How long does it take before the heroes actually leave you? And can you prevent it somehow?

Reading through the list and not looking at other posts...  Here are some observations that weren't in the list when I looked.

Metheld:  Dislikes fleeing from combat
Katrin: Dislikes running out of food (she was a victualist, afterall)

Lezalit and Bunduk seem to hate each other. Lezalit constantly *****es about Bunduk's lack of discipline, and Bunduk whines about Lezalit commanding him around.

Baheshtur hates losing battles.

Do you mean fleeing?  If you lose, you seem to lose all your NPCs, so he wouldn't be there to hate it...

List updated as of this post.

*Edit: Also, check the top post too.  New tip and a Beta Party config that covers all the skills.

She probably uses the word 'minion' in there...what evil person has never said minion?
All evil types know the evil troop tree:
Lackey > Henchman > Minion

And updated again.  Certain patterns begin to emerge.  If you want to avoid ANY complaints, your first choice needs to be whether to have Jeremus (super medic) or Artimenner (Engineer/Tactician with a handful of other skills) in your party.

Note that the top post shows a possible group, (2) full of old friends and people that actually get along, but has some disadvantages.  Part of my problem may be that I try to find the smallest number of NPCs that covers all the skills (a Medic, an Engineer and a Tracker) and then try to expand from there.  Someone that can think about it in the reverse might have an easier time.

I wonder if we can find a group of 9 or higher that won't argue...
