I was wondering if it is just my imagination or whether such things were actually coded into the latest versions of M&B.
I saved my game before I engaged a bunch of Dark Knights (39 of them) near Zendar. I kept reloading the savegame and playing the same fight over and over.....it is very challenging to take on the new and improved Dark Knights/Hunters in 0.702.
Everytime I reload the savegame, the terrain and environment remains the same, except for the weather. Sometimes I get sunny days, other times I get rain/fog. I think it is safe to say I replayed the savegame to death...probably more than 50 times.
The thing I noticed is my hunting crossbow is hitting with very little power during rain/fog. I mostly kept getting bodyshots of 2 , 1 , and 0 damage during rain and fog. There were even headshots of 0 damage. Headshots during rain & fog range from 2 to 5 damage.
On sunny days I'm seeing an average of bodyshots of 17 - 25+ damage and headshots of 30 - 50+.
So the question is whether rain/fog affects the crossbows in M&B .702 ? Perhaps the bow strings are slack after they got wet ??? Or is this just my imagination.
Incidentally I love what Armagan & team has done with 0.702. The game balancing is definitely a step in the right direction. Dark Knight/Hunters are now the formidable enemies they ought to be. Good thing they fix the hitboxes of horse & man.
