0.7 Modding made easier?

Hi folks

Can someone give me the lowdown on the new versions modding capabilities? I have an idea for a mod and would like to get going on it.

The things I'd like to have seen:

map editor
battlefield editor

Don't appear to be there. Defeated by my own optimism again perhaps.

Seriously though - what's new in the modding department?

Just wait a bit. The tools haven't been released yet. They were supposed to be but the plan changed. The game update was given priority.
