(0.632) Possible questbug.

It took quite some time before it happened but here goes.

I got a bandit quest from a merchant (Praven) but failed miserably. Out of money and men I desided to wait until later to return and beat them up. But then they ran off and I only saw them once (again low on men I couldn't do anything about it).
After a very long time, about two weeks, I joined the Swadians and did a few missions. Then after another week I got a quest from the count of Uxkhal for hunting down a raiding party that had attacked near Jelkala heading for Khudan. Goin for them I met up with a blue raiding party (it said so in the header) near Praven. Beat them up good (and I think I saw the 'hunt raiding party quest fulfilled' line) and went to Praven to sell the loot. There the merchant gave me the reward for ridding him of his bandits.

I have since been back and forth many times, along almost every route to find the raiders, but they are gone. It has now been a week since I got the mission and the raiders have not entered Khudan.

No...

But it turned out that after 28 days the raiders finally returned home. Odd it should take so long. I have hunted other raiders near their base within a day.

They got caught up somewhere along the way. I was looking for a nobleman once and day after day after day (they need to make it so you can have time pass faster then moving or holding the space bar or tavern sleeping[since you can't wait outside]) and still no one showed up. Well, I went looking for them. I found them half a map north of where they should have been going and they were screwing around with a Swadian war party. Maybe "getting screwed by a Swadian war party" would be a better description.

Your best bet is to go, save at the destination, and go looking for them if they're taking too long.
