Just like version 0.623, 0.630 immediately (screen goes black, then the computer shuts down) reboots my computer when I try to start it. It's a Fujitsu Siemens computer with an Athlon XP, Soundblaster Audigy and a GeForce Ti 4600.

same thing happens to me. Try this, works for me. Don't open anything before starting mount 'n blade. Should work now.

Well, my computer doesn't crash if I start everything else...well, almost...having IE on at the same time will result in immediate crash still...having MSN on will cause the game to crash after a while ingame still...not too sure bout anything else...

Worst bit is still the fact that IE gets totally crippled after I play the game or the fact that I can only start the game once and have to reboot if I wanna play the game again (crash on second startup attempt)..

As I said before, it REALLY mustn't like Win98SE for some reason..

Oh, I'm running on Windows XP.
I'll test it next time I reboot, though I tried starting it before anything else with .623 and it didn't work then (could be because of autostarted virus prog).

@Druv
I wrote the following in another thread:

I've tried to install and play this game for several days now without success. It is very frustrating as it seems like such a fun game.
Anyhow, I'll try to describe what happens.
No problems during download and installation but the moment I try to start the game the screen goes black.Within a second or less the computer reboots. When it is runing again I get the following message(translated from swedish):
"The computer has been restored after a serious error. The following files were part of the error message".

C:grin:OCUME¨1HiddeLOKALA¨1TempWERefeb.dir00Mini051905-01.dmp
C:grin:ocume¨1HiddeLOKALA¨1TempWERefeb.dir00sysdata.xml

Everytime I start the game this happen. The only change to the files above is the part where it says WERefeb.dir00 That changes to for ex.
WER4ca9.dir00 or WER2581.dir00 and so on.

I've tried some of the stuff mentioned in this thread and other things as well but nothing seems to help. I would be very glad if someone can tell me what the message above mean and even more so if anyone knows a solution to my problem.
Thanks

Fujitsu Siemens
AMD 2200+

Windows XP
Geforce4 Ti4600 Driver:71.89
Soundblaster Audigy

As you can see I have what seems like almost the exact copy of your computer and the same problem.
I'm not very skilled in tweaking computers so please post here if you find a solution.
