In part 3 he goes through loads of enclycopedia pages spending about 1 sec on each so you can pause and read in your own time. Haha this guy knows. There is loads of new info like kingdom laws/ goverment types, new minor factions etc
Kingdom laws? Thanks, I will have to look at that!
I was a little disappointed to hear the same US Marine type growl of the troops, it seems the same for all factions and I wish there were different voices for differnt groups (I'm not keen on that voice they have being in the game at all frankly, but it isn't a huge deal). I would also have liked to see a bit more invention in certain areas of the game- for example when captured by a bandit party, you just have to wait until you automatically escape. I don't know whether some sort of mini-game would be fun or not, perhaps a sort of pick-the-lock game except for untying ropes which bind your hands, then having to either stealthily sneak out of a camp at night or pick up a sword, fight your way to a horse and escape. But I think a chance of being mutilated or sold into slavery should exist, to make entering battle with looters feel like more of a gamble.
Another small thing for me is that when passing villagers, although they look busy and far more alive than in Warband, don't seem to take notice of you as you pass. It seems natural to me that one or two would at least turn their head as someone rides into their village (it can't be a daily occurrence in every village, surely).
Then there is the tournaments- people fighting to the death, it seems, rather than with wooden weapons. It seems very incongruous, especially with no explanation; why would anyone voluntarily enter such a contest? If they were slaves such as in ancient Roman times that would make sense, but the names suggest they are regular Calradian folk.
Generally though I like the aesthetics of the game- I can see how some of the combat animations look a bit wooden, but the horses look and sound great (though I agree with another poster who said they seem too fast), especially their manes, and I love the character faces. I really like how the 3 demo characters look, both in their faces and clothing, particularly Valtis and Alijin (I think I appreciate these two more because they look like real people from Africa and the far east respectively, rather than in earlier M&B games where you could have a dark skinned character but they still had the facial features and hair of a vaguely caucasian person, and you couldn't really have a truly oriental looking face. These Bannerlord characters look like real people). For the combination of a characterful face and clothing, I think Alijin is my favourite of the three. They all stand out to me as a world away from the appearance of an M&B character from earlier games in the series (in a good way), but she more than the other two.
I like the way the 'campaign map' looks too. I haven't had a proper look at all the videos so haven't got any firm feelings beyond the above at the moment.
