MnB-Comp spoke with two of the leaders of SGM, Rangah and William Wallace and their IGL Silver. SGM, rooted in KW Light, is a team which played in Division A since the beginning of BEAST.
Which of your cavalry players is best?
William: Rangah.
Do you have any words for the current state of the game?
Silver (sarcasm): Game is totally balanced, and I like it in this way.
William (sarcasm): It’s perfect!
What is the strength of SGM?
William: Our army size on BLO. Rangah makes lot’s of money with selling Gold on BLO
Rangah: We are allowed to vent our frustration in creative wording.
Silver: We are open for new talents.
Who are your favorite opponents? Name us three teams!
Destiny Masters, Divitiarium, Deutschritter Furor
In case RM and DM go again to the finals: Who do you think will win? RM or DM?
William: DM will win the finals. They have strong morale and mentality, and even when losing you feel they are going to win. I think that DMs infantry is better, their archery is similar while the cavalry is also on par when Ghazi is not drunk.
How do you perceive Archery and it’s usefulness in the current tournament?
William: Still very useful. Throwing meta killed 2/2/2.
Rangah: I would say it’s very strong in the right hands, but you shouldn’t be playing the archer just for playing one, but in capable hands it can turn the game easy.
Silver: I would say if you play against any decent archer and you will not give him enough attention, he will destroy a team if not pushed.
Are you better than Firunien, Rangah?
Rangah: Yes.
If there's someone who jumped the BLO-Hype-Train Full Force it was SGM, recruiting prominent skirmish players into their ranks the moment they log in. How serious is your project there? Do you plan to take over EU-Servers?
It’s serious and we already have our first feud against „The Turkish Coalition“. We are always looking for recruits!
Your team features a big roster, one could say it's enough for two teams. Are there any plans going forward with that or is there another reason to keep such a big roster?
William: We have a lot of inactive players.
Rangah: More than half of the roster is inactive, but if the second team is not properly lead (cf. DM2, RM2, KW teams), it will not turn out well.
Last week you faced Deutschritter in what could be perceived as game for place 3. Deutschritter won. How do you feel regarding the result?
Rangah: Bad. We didn’t play skirmish at all the entire week. We did this against GGs in BEAST#4 as well when we spend all week playing Valheim, this time it was BLO.
William: We didn’t train at all that week. We underestimated them again like in KW.
Rangah: It was a fluke. It will not happen again.
Regarding Deutschritter, they brought Lars and OneClips as newcomers. How do you think about these two players in their starting roster?
Rangah: Lars playing in a Div A team is a mistake and as soon as throwing on Cav is removed he will go straight back to Division C.
William: A few players in Division A are questionable.
