MnBComp's next BEAST interview is with Metal-Luca leader of KW clan and one of 3 KW teams for BEAST3.

Meet the TEAM - Keyboard Warriors Dark [KW][D]

  • Keyboard Warriors were formed for War of the Roses back in 2012, but never played Warband. What has KW been doing since Roses closed and what brought you to Bannerlord?
Keyboard Warriors was formed as a clan back in 2012 by a few friends that wanted to participate in the Eurocup tournament of War of the Roses, and we went to win the Eurocup, the Anniversary tournament and Euroleague, basically we won all the tournaments in War of the Roses, but sadly the game didn’t last that much and in 2017 the game shut down because everybody knows that the developers couldn’t reach a balance of the weapons and armours in game and also they started a new game named War of the Vikings in which after the release, Keyboard Warriors won the only tournament that was organized in that game, because War of the Vikings unfortunately had the same fate as War of the Roses and was shut down in 2017.
We never played Warband but we had a short period when we played Viking Conquest after it was released and participated in a tournament where we won our first match but because of unknown reasons the tournament was stopped and most of our players started playing other games like For Honour and after some time Mordhau, were we had fun but we didn’t enter the competitive scene. I want to mention that all this time we were expecting Bannerlord to be released and we started playing from beta when some of us were lucky to receive keys.
We waited for Bannerlord because is the only game that can provide a good fun melee action in a medieval atmosphere, a game that is based on teamwork and can be a lot of fun at the same time.

  • How many of your current roster in Dark is Old KW (from Roses) and how did the rest of the team come together? Tell us about your players
Unfortunately I’m the only player left from War of the Roses team and we have Sharky the captain of Keyboard Warriors Light team and Siberia from the team of War of the Vikings that play Bannerlord.
Most of the old KW players stopped playing since the Beta version of the game and are waiting for the game to progress, to offer dedicated servers and probably when is gonna be released they will come back to our community.
Even if we formed 3 teams to play in Beast 3 we are still one big clan with a fun, international and diverse community that cover 4 continents and that has a lot of active players.
After War of the Roses, KW became like a brand for a international diverse, fun community that also is competitive and that is why a lot of exciting new players joined us and offered us the possibility to form 3 teams for Beast 3, that also enables us to organize and participate in events and play other game modes with the clan like Battle, Siege and Captain.
Our current Dark team has 9 players and because of KW philosophy that helped us winning in the past we try and we encourage our players to practice all classes so in a match you can have multiple options of team formations and tactics that you can use.But because of class limits we had to adapt to the current format of the competition even though we don’t encourage class limits.
Our Dark team looks like this now:
Metal-Luca Igl plays all classes. Baten plays all classes. Ancient Lunatic plays cavalry and infantry.
Einar is our archer and sometimes takes the roles of infantry. Arne and Xanno are mainly infantry but they also take their bows when the situation demands more archers, Delonghy, Brum Brum and Obelix are our infantry and shock infantry that carries us and give their in game lives for the clan.
All the players in our team and clan have really nice chemistry together and are good teammates even if they come from different background and cultures.
As for the players I’m just gonna outline some of their most visible traits:
Baten is a very good organizer has good observations and keeps the team together in a match.
Ancient Lunatic can develop any topic into a conversation from which you will get a lot of important information.
Einar is always looking for new ways improve himself and the team.
Arne is always very focused and can carry the team when is needed.
Delonghy is a very serious player that works a lot to reach his goals.
Xanno, Brum Brum and Obelix are the players that are always ready to have fun but also to play serious when the situation Is asking for it.

  • Keyboard Warriors joined BEAST 1 as one team, but split for BEAST 2 where Keyboard Warriors Dark started in Division B, did not lose a match and were promoted to div A for BEAST 3.
How was BEAST 2 for you? What place do you hope to take at the end of BEAST 3?
In Beast 1 we played as one team and because we had too many players for Beast 2, we roster 2 teams one the Light team was assigned by the tournaments admins to the A division and the Dark team was assigned to Division B.
In division B the Dark team did not lose any matches and manage to be first so for Beast 3 we got promoted to division A.
Beast 2 was really interesting for us, we played against a lot of good teams from nice clans and we had some fun moments also. We used a lot of players in the matches their total number was 10 and we manage to form a team everytime we played.
For Beast 3 the Dark’s team objective is to stay in Division A for next season considering we are a new team in the top division.

  • In week 1 the 2 KW teams in Div A played each other, was the outcome what you expected? how do you think you will do against the teams you have yet to play in Div
In week 1 of Beast 3 we played vs KW Light Team and we manage to win 1 half of map but we lost 1-3 in the end and we congratulate them for playing so well. The Light team played more together, played in division A last season and got 3rd place, they have more experience and are the best team of our clan.
In Beast 3 we will do our best vs the teams in the top division and try to take as many rounds as we can it doesn’t matter who we play against. The teams from first division are clearly the best and we have a hard challenge in front of use respect all the teams and we wish them GL and HF in the games.

  • This week you play Deutschritter Furor, do you have a message for them?
Our message for Deutschritter Furor is to give us the secret of that German discipline that they have and good teamwork and also to expect us to fight with them hanging on our necks.

  • What has been your most memorable event in Bannerlord so far?
Our most memorable event in Bannerlord so far was our last match in division B vs Divine Masters when we managed to win and promote to division A.

Great read! Loved to play against you back in the War of the Roses days! Got our asses kicked as far as I remember though.
I remeber Callum "Project Angel" had a big contribution in the Roses Community. But NIN3 you confuse us with somebody that got their asses kicked in Roses.Untill Bannerlord we didn't know the meaning of losing in a competition.)
