I'm sorry, I just didn't want to give promises I'm not sure I can keep. The armor Terco shared is a Vlandian lord armor, I can ask for a simplified and stripped down version of the top structure, removing the neckguard and side guards. How does that sound?
Man... you are such a nice guy!

That sounds great . If it's not tooo much work that sounds like a nice solution and would add some variation and flavour to our Vlandian boys!

While we are on the subject; Mail coifs seem to feature in alot of Byzantine helmets. Perhaps a mail coif under the Legionary & Menavlion helmets would provide a nice 'full face' variation for the Imperial soldiers?

Ali is the pure definition of a nice guy ! When we add his crazy talent and zealous commitment to that equation, we get a guy we can only be jealous of ?

Perhaps it would be good if you added some variety in when commanding a set of the same unit type. Different helmets, straps, gloves and so on.

I don't know how the armors will be distrubuted in the troop trees, sorry. But we won't remove the already existing Nordic armors.
Please make the Aserai more colorful, too. Having red helmet turbans was pretty common since the start of Islam

Thank you, you guys are way too kind. I will work on spicing up Aserai as well, that's the next target after Battania and Sturgia. So right now is a good time for some suggestions about Aserai.

This is great news. I'm very glad you're taking the time to improve the current factions' aesthetics.

For suggestions, I'm not a fan at all of these two armor sets for the Aserai.

This design of large metal rings just doesn't realistically offer any protective value for the wearer.
This might sound petty, but these two armor sets in particular put me off from playing as the Aserai as a whole because I find it so silly that anyone would actually wear this in battle.
Aside from that, I agree that the Aserai could use more color and style than muddy brown leather.

It works same as lamellar armor without lamellar pieces. Rings on leather used for slashing reduction. However it was rare kind of armor.

Well that's a new one. That's interesting.
But still, ringed armor would be totally useless against thrusts, and mostly useless against blunt attacks, and this can't be represented with Bannerlord's armor system since it doesn't differentiate between different damage type in the same way that Dark Souls does for example, where armor has a resistance property for each attack type, such as blunt, slash and thrust.

While this type of armor couldv have its uses in a slash-heavy environment, I don't think it could realistically offer any meaningful protection in a setting such as Bannerlord's, where spears, maces and arrows are very prevalent.

Found some pictures that I thought could be inspiration for a more vibrant Aserai aesthetic.

I've always thought of the Aserai as sort of an ancient Persian-looking people, Achaemenid paygans and sparabaras.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kulah_khud - This could represent a good basis for higher-tier troops, something like a Aswaran, and perhaps the epic padded coif of the Sparabara here would be an interesting touch. Scale armor seems to be pretty fitting for middle-eastern inspired troops, as well as padded vests, such as the current one on the Aserai tribal warriors. Here is another depiction of a Persian helmet that would look amazing in-game, with some padding underneath. Of course, this could be mixed with Turkic and Arabic influences, but that's what kind of the Khuzaits are already doing, so it would cause confusion between the two factions.

We can see that they were mostly light units overall, which once more would fit the Aserai, since living in a desert and donning heavy armor is usually a big no-no, so a vest of scales or padded linen (or here), under which are light garments (maybe kandyes), seem very fitting for the culture.

The rings should be much smaller and closer together though, so as to not offer any significant gaps. For the pieces Noudelle showed, he's quite right, they wouldn't offer proper protection.

What, this?

Virtually any armour provides protection against wounds from slashing weapons, even civilian clothing. Hardly any weapons are solely designed for slashing because there are so many ways to reduce a cutting wound to a bruise. I could almost guarantee that this morrowind-ass dude would be just as protected without the rings.

I'll just add a Tercosketch that I loved
I really love the first and the last one (not a big fan of the blue helmet??) But those capes look fantastic

Has anyone noticed how this thread, with 17k views, is by far the most viewed thread in the entire beta board? The closest one to this is the Premade classes discussion with 12k views and then everything else falls short by a whole lot.

Also, yes, that Aserai Terkosketch is fantastic!

Well the damn passion put in this thread by the fans is amazing, not only Terco and Piconi, every single contributor here is worth mentioning. This by far the best aspect of this community

That one does have quite a poor distribution of rings, I’d say the second example was better.

Edit- I’m quite fond of the Arab/Persian horse caparisons known as Tijfāf/Bargustuwan in Arabic and Persian/Farsi. some examples below:

Lastly, it would be nice to see what the Eletheroi look like. In my head I see southern frontiersmen looking like the Turcopoles:
