Yeah, more than 1 musician is deffinitely a good idea, maybe connected to the town's prosperity- the more prosperous a town is, more musicians, from 1-4 , or something along those lines.
There is a singing scene in Witcher 3, such as this one

Of course, this is a masterpiece made for a cutscene, and i don't expect this kind of quality to be sang just randomly in taverns, but perhaps just couple of verses of some song, that musicians utter from time to time....

That's a single scene from the main quest and thus the exception. Singing wouldn't fit in with M&B either I don't think.

Even better is more taverns, richer and expensive taverns have more musicians, have better food, give a bonus when resting, so many ideas!

A little something for the Vlandian enthusiasts:

The Rise of the West

Scent of dandelions mingle with the smell of summer grapes
Carpets of poppies climb up the hills like bright crimson drapes
Red wine maturing in casks, destined for some far away place
Hooves thundering as the Banner Knights continue on their chase

Rolling downs, royal woods, and many a bright green pasture
Grand cities with people in all manners of different stature
Barons and Counts, milk maids and farmers, bards, tradesmen and charmers
It’s the land of warhorse and lance and knights in bright steel armors

We came from across the sea - warriors and adventurers too
Now noble knights, ladies and lords who praise honor and virtue
We once fought for the Emperor - we rode down the enemy
Soon we grew in power and strength and wrote our own destiny

Sons and daughters of Valandion - the great Wilund the Bold!
We won the west under Osrac Iron-arm as the story is told
The Empire used to pay us off with silver and with land
But Vlandia’s horsemen are far too strong - none can withstand!

We took what was ours with blood and steel, never backing down
Soon we’ll be marching eastward to take every castle and town
Vlandian red and gold flies high over all of the west
Soon enough, given time they will, fly high over all of the rest!

Glad to meet you too @Yavor , welcome ! Yes i saw it, it is really great i hope for more to come from you!

Untill then, i had to give homage to the vicious southerners, the Aserai .
Far down south lies a vast land
doesen't have much but the bronze sand,
Aserai live there, for themselves they can fend,
once disunited, together now they stand.

They have no allies but the wasteland,
Couple narrow gorges and a golden strand,
yet they are not scared, nor need a helping hand
even Empire at it's greatest its legions didn't send.

From the legendary Asera, to Unqid's warband,
their sabres inflict wounds no surgeon could ever mend,
Nahasa engulfs invaders, to it they're all bland,
Sun burns through their armours untill they can no longer stand.

Oasis provide home, invaders are banned,
their bodies will make dunes, instead of the sand,
once disunited, together now they stand,
victory isn't accidental, it is carefully planned.

Here is my new poem from yesterday evening. I pay homage to a favorite game faction and world culture - the horse nations. The poem is called Khuzait Song. I hope you like it!
Our valor is our pride

Our spirit freedom longs

To ride the steppes so wide

And sing our Khoomei songs

And our voices fly

Like thunder high above

To our God of the Sky

Like falcons chasing doves

And the horses trotting bolder

Closer on your ranks

Your courage soon will falter

When we strike your flanks

And our arrows whistle

As our bow strings sing

Swift as wind and sharp as thistle

One shot one death brings

And now the battle’s over

But it’s your demise, not ours

As your wails grow somber

Our song in the Sky sours

And now you should have learned

To whom your land belongs

We conquered and we burned

And sang our Khoomei songs

P.S. Desert Storm is a cool poem! It encapsulates the beauty and strength of the Azerai quite well.

I hope I am not spoiling anything when I used images straight from the turkic and mongol cultures, instead of using sources only from the game. After all they are the true inspiration for the Khuzaits. And I must confess I am still learning the lore of the game.

Its a very nice poem, don`t worry much, overlapping with real world is inevitable, as game does use some default historical weapon and armor names. If you`d like to catch up on the lore quickly, i suggest reading the dev blogs dedicated about each specific faction, just search in google "khuzait dev blog", or any faction name (Empire has 3 dev blogs) , and you should be good for starters. Then i guess you could read mount and blade wiki for Warband factions, check out Warbands map, all in order to have a better basic Bannerlord knowelege, as well as understanding of what has happened 200 years after Bannerlord (in Warband).

Mount and Blade Wiki also has some juicy info that NPCs uncover about lands beyond Calradia, its very interesting, and has much DLC hidden potential.

Thanks for the info! I'll check out all these sources and I'll see what I'll come up with. I don't know why the old dev blog posts are gone from the official blog search. Only 2 pages there at the moment. But yeah, I'll search with google, or simply manually change the number of the page in the dev blog web address line...

Oh Wow! Benjamin, your Ode to the Sword Sister is very beautiful, man! I can totally see it turned into a tavern song! (I hope the modders see this) Would love to hear it as I drink mead in some northern tavern  One question though, did you find her and did it had a happy ending? Or would the answer spoil it all?

And Piconi, your Druimmor Forest Fairy is better than you think! It reminds me of a Celtic legend, told by a hedge witch.

Ha Ha! Thanks @Yavor! That song is, in part, a request of sorts. Sword Sisters (one of my favorite units from Warband) seem to be missing from the game - I can't find them! So it's a bit of a plea to have them as units in Bannerlord. However, I do intend for Ode to the Sword Sister to have a companion song later on once I see what the devs decide to do with the Sword Sister units.

So, maybe I do find her. Maybe I don't. Only time (and TaleWorlds) will tell. Until then the songs (and poems) of life roll on.

And speaking of songs and poems of life: here's a Battanian woodland poem with a little nod to @Piconi's Druimmor Fairy of ancient lore.

In the Eaves of the Forest

By the trees of the forest
Skirmishers skirmishing
Death they are furnishing;
Blood on the ground

Under eve in the forest
The night grows darkening
Falxmen are hearkening;
Waiting for sound

Midst the boughs of the forest
The Wood Runner’s running
The Wildling’s cunning;
Fit for the chase

Heroes now in the forest
Do more than just hunting
Sound of enemies grunting;
Victory’s trace

In the eaves of the forest
The Fians go reaving
And death they are leaving;
This is their way

Through the leaves of the forest
The arrows go seething
The dead are done bleeding;
No more today

In Battania’s forests
The Clans - they are killing
Fight instead of tilling
Clash of iron ringing
Blood and honor spilling
Druimmor Fairy singing
Death and beauty mingling;
No more to say

No, I don't think I'll touch it anymore. I like it just the way it is.
But here goes:
Beer

The primal urge

The Simpsons’ scourge

I long for its cold surge

I’m going for a beer!

The source for memories, held dear,

And others lost in visions weird

Drive to the pub, while you still steer

It’s time for cheers

If you’re not queer

You get some Beer!

Beer

An ocean gathered in a can

The wettest dream of every Man

The Paradise of Irish Saint

Sole aim of Saint Patrick’s day event

With waves of magic, brisky foam

Taken on large sips on and on

Deep feelings escalate in song

You feel testosterone has grown

Come Get Some!

Beer!!!

Mmm Beer,

The deepest secret of Shakespeare

I bet even the great King Lear

Was made much softer for the ear

With heavy portions of dark…

Beer!

I am interested of what the community thinks about it, though.

For some reason I have just become very, very thirsty.
Ahhh! The mercenaries! Very nice! I was actually thinking of composing something for the Skolderbrotva.

But, in the meantime, here's a song about one of my favorite units: the Banner Knights - I borrowed/ripped-off the syllabic meter from Ramin Djawadi's Jenny of Oldstones (I wrote it while listening to that lovely song) but the content is completely original.

Fire in the Dark (Ballad of the Banner Knights)

Calradia - where the wars never end
We fight everyday of our lives
We do what we can for our liege and our clan
We do what we do to survive

We march and we ride, we fight and we sing
From morning into the night
We run through the lands like fire in the dark
We are a dreaded might

The sound of the ground thundering!
We are the Banner Knights!
The sound of our foes sundering!
We are the Banner Knights!

In Vlandia - couched lances never miss
We are her protectors
And we shall not yield while our hearts have a beat
Our sacrifice is as nectar

The sound of the ground thundering!
We are the Banner Knights!
The sound of our foes sundering!
We are the Banner Knights!

The sound of the ground thundering!
We are the Banner Knights!

Throughout all my play-throughs in Bannerlord there is one variable that remains constant: the Khuzait. They always dominate the map in every single game, without fail. They're the only faction I've seen that can actually gain ground, gain ground, while fighting wars against 4 other factions... Gain. Ground. No other faction seems capable of doing this. Khuzait. Just. Dominate. It's pretty awful. So... I wrote a pretty awful poem about their leader Monchug. The poem is bad - just like the current Khuzait situation in Bannerlord, but it's short - just like my patience for the current Khuzait situation in Bannerlord.

Monchug, Lord Monchug
The great horse master and Khan
From the rising dawn

Covering the sky
The horse archers’ arrows fly
Khuzait’s time is nigh

Raids that never cease
His horse riders are unleashed
Khan of man and beast

Monchug, Khan Monchug
Rules all that his eyes do see
In the Great Grass Sea

With no time to rest
He leads his men to the west
Through plain, over crest

Empire undone
Khuzait horsemen on the run
Coming with the sun

Monchug, Great Monchug
Beloved Khuzait leader
Great eastern reaver

None can stem the tide
The great Khuzait horsemen ride
To seize the divide

Khuzait banners fly
Arrows in the air so high
All enemies die
