Welcome to the British Army's thread. The British Army is a community of British (in-game) regiments that have come together to try and bolster inter-regiment relations as well as organise battles both within and outside of the Army.
This current thread is just a precursor to a larger and prettier thread that I will be working on.
| ♔ FAQ ♔ How will the British Army be organised? The Army itself will be more like a structured community. Regiments that join will be put into a brigade and then their point of contact will be the Brigadier General of that particular brigade. If no Colonels within the brigade wish to become the Brigadier General then one of them will be appointed as acting Brigadier General, despite still retaining the Colonel rank. Will my Regiment have to wear tags or use a specific teamspeak? The simple answer is no. It is not required that you change your tags, but it is up to the Colonels within a brigade whether or not they want to have special tags (take for example 5th Brigade using 5Brg_). As for the teamspeak, there will be an official British Army teamspeak and every regiment will have their own channel within it; but it is completely up to you whether or not you use it. I am more than happy for regiments or brigades to have their own TS server if they wish. Will we get to do Army battles and events? Absolutely. One of my main goals in creating this is building a solid foundation on which regiments can set up quick and easy short notice battles with each other, as well as benefit from training. As for Army battles, if there was a battle scheduled, then the regiments within the BA would be able to sign up to it in advance. Taking part in trainings and battles is not compulsory, and so regiments may take part as much or as little as they want. The whole idea of this is to enjoy the game, so what's the point in playing if you don't want to? Can you provide us with a teamspeak and game server? As mentioned previously, the BA will have an official TS server and we will also be able to provide a couple of servers for trainings and events. We do howevver, have a deal with our server provider where any regiment in the BA who buys a server of 100 slots or more gets 10% off! Cheap as chips! How does my regiment apply? I aim to keep the BA open as the whole idea is to bring regiments together to enjoy the game as opposed to be elitist and only allow large super-serious regiments in. We accept any active regiments, although there will be a trial period of 1 month where you are evaluated on whether or not you are suitable for the Army. This is just to keep the BA an enjoyable place to be and stop regiments taking advantage of what we offer without really doing anything for the community. If you would like to apply, then please contact myself over Steam, or post in the thread below with the following: Regiment Name: Link to TW thread: Colonel Name: Colonel Steam Profile: Active Members: More information will be posted as it is available.
