automatic donation of troops

Running the game on 1.4.1 atm, but i think the situation has persisted since i started playing. basically whenever an allied lord of my kingdom visits my town/castle (this also includes my companions and spouse), they NEVER donate troops to the garrison. but whenever a companion or spouse...

It is beyond frustrating that I have to take all the troops out of all my companions parties when enter a city for the first time after capturing it so I don't lose a lot of max leveled troops. If I don't take the troops out they always donate troops to the garrison. The last city I captured...
