No problem, good to know that it works.

Not sure and not my beer but the former music pack has been removed because of copyright issues. Othr received a message don't know, sound harmless but it could also have been a warning....

    Well, ... yeah...

    You get the idea.

Ahh, well I suppose I might be better off not having uploaded it there then.

No, I think it's just luck of the draw, and you're just not that lucky today.

Well I have had that problem for almost a year now, its the case for every new game I have started since then, and it doesn't change in the period of time I'm playing.
That said, the longest game I have played in that time have lasted a month or so.

Either Im incredibly unlucky, or something is wrong with the "draw".

Edit: Just did an experiment, started 3 different games with 3 completely different character backgrounds and factions, in all games I checked the 9 possible trade cities in Scandinavia, and in no city were there any swords being sold.

I remember that this bug started to appear when othr started to remove the none player made swords, and started to restrict where you could buy different things. This was because of the prevalence of mongol goods everywhere.

Edit2: Started 10 games, checked all 9 marketplaces, same result: no swords anywhere.
  7. The new Subversion.

I'm unable to find any swords being sold in any of the scandinavian lands.
I've had that problem since some of the first svn versions came out, and it still seems to be an active bug.

Does anyone else have that problem ?
  8. The Music DL link is broken.

Ahh im sorry, i think this is the music from the pre svn version.

Ill try to make a 7zip file of the music.txt and the music folder of my svn.

    Edit: Here

    MD5 checksum: 68c563d44c08b0e76a4fe26a638b6b82

I tried to get permission to upload it to mbrepository again, but I was denied upload rights.
If someone has access to upload there, can you please upload it for us ?
I'm not sure how long the various file repositories will retain it.

Here it is, Episode 3 of TNARB. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaLpTtctuH4

From Episode 4 onwards I'll be using the SVN version so hopefully all will be happy with the fact I'm no longer using outdated work.

EDIT: The SVN version is working all fine and dandy, great work. I'm quite new to most of this stuff, is there any console commands to remove the health bar? Remove the mini map and the shot distance counter/misc info in the bottom left? It'll be an immense help to me if there is.
You could try this or this.
  12. The new Subversion.

It seems that othr never got around to fixing the artifact bug with the menu and loading screens.
I redid some files ages ago to get rid of the problem, but the redone files were uncompressed so slightly larger sizes.

I can try to dig them up again if you want DrTomas, im not sure what you have access to.

    - how do I change URL in Tortoise? I changed it in "dialog 1" option, but Im not really sure that this is it, any help please?
Couldnt figure out how either, but i did a work around: deleted the hidden .svn folder in the 1257 folder to get rid of the svn status, then added it as svn again with the new url.

    Congrats DrTomas!

Whoever contributed to the mod can take the module system 'source code' and use it to build a different mod or continue with this one.  I know some of you are working on another mod and I received some requests for permission from some other people who helped out as well.

If you guys can work out what to do with it I leave it in your capable hands.  Just keep in mind that the source code is the only thing I can really make any decisions about.  The textures, various props and all the goodies people made are theirs to do with them what they please.

Feel free to use the the loading screens or menu images that I made.
Id prefer a pm first if someone wants to use it for another mod though.
  15. Subversion - checking out the development version of the mod (161)

I see the main menu and loader screens haven't been updated to their fixed version yet.
Is there something I need to do, othr ?

Thanks for the feedback. I might get back to that scene at a later date.
No problem, I'm happy to help.

DrTomas, could you add Hammershus under Denmark in the first post with research done here by me and here by Waffenbaum ?

    Edit: Thank you DrTomas.
Btw UghUghUgh, you should probably keep the castle in red brick, as i was thinking of another castle. Tunsberg's oldest fortifications should be in stone but i could not find out exactly what while researching, so probably best to keep the brick.

Nothing I can think of right now. My biggest problem are the sieges, but I'll wait for complaints to come up.

Edit: I plan to create several siege versions for some of the scenes, once I have some feedback, if Tunsberg for example is going to be used for several places or as a unique scene. It takes quite some time to create a scene and I thought this would be a good idea to get more out of the scenes with little effort.

Another edit: Here is the download link for Tunsberg castle. The castle itself is somewhat empty and if someone wants to add a bit here and there, he/she is free to do so, but I don't know how well low-end machines will handle these changes. Finally, I got the siege working as intended and the AI in and out of itself is able to handle the siege. Placing a simple barrier at the connection between inner and outer wall will automatically make the siege harder, if need be.
The sourrounding terrain should be outer_terrain_plain, because it fits well for most part of the map. Close to the village the abrupt end of the river is weird, but most player won't notice, because they are either busy fending off the sally or are attacking themselves.

Some pics. I guess it would have been smart to take some screenshots during the siege tests, because there is more action in those moments. The newly created brick texture isn't a perfect fit for this castle, but way better than any native stuff.

Looks great UghUghUgh! Thank you so much for creating this.
The only changes I would make is to move the river closer to the castle. Your river is correct according to the modern satellite maps, but i believe the waterline would have gone higher in 1257.
I believe it should be closer to how it is on this model.
    345676554fa3bffd0f1b.jpg
Also the sources tells me that the majority of the castle should be in stone, and only some repairs and the internal buildings in red brick. This isn't very important though, but would make it slightly more correct, historically speaking.

Tunsberg would have been the most important naval port in eastern Norway, so you could consider adding a few more longships both in the harbour and on the river.

All in all though its a great rendition of this great castle, thank you again for creating it.

PS. Would be great to see some images of it in action if you have the time.

  20. Subversion - checking out the development version of the mod (161)

    Fixed files are here.
Their size has increased though, so up to you othr if you want to try another compression method.

The loading screen are at 1600x1200 now so they should look a little crisper.
