    multiplayer has been abandoned?

    always the same maps, the same modes (no 2 factions vs 3 factions or loadout differance or character deep customization), no creativity in new things for multiplayer and now not even matchmaking works?

    what a joke.
    Don't bother using matchmaking. It's broken and people don't use it, the best you can get is 1v1 or 3v3 if anyone is queing. Your only option is to play in matchmaking discords if you want to play skirmish.

    Nope. I play it because Bannerlord's offerings as a multiplayer game are insufferable to the point where "it's the Steam counterpart to an EGS exclusive" isn't a good enough reason to keep playing. Nice to know I'm still the only sane person here. In fact, if I'm perfectly honest, the insanity of BL MP makes the intentional imbalancing in other games look sane in comparison
    You can choose any class in the game and i'll beat you as a recruit 99 times out of 100. You're a brainlet tdm player that has no idea about the game.

    Enable team hits in tdm/siege
    Disable non-archer non-cav classes from mounting or picking up bow/crossbow
    Remove gold perks
    Buff khuzait armor
    Remove ranked system from skirmish/captain queue

    At this point no doubt in my mind he is either just trolling and try bait some arguments and cause some drama or actual stupid but with a massive ego that tells him that he knows everything about game balancing and development.
    He literally knows nothing about the game or the current meta for classes yet he's been complaining about the same things for more than a year. Check his posts. I think he's mentally challenged, just ignore him.

    I have no dog in this one, but if you're going to disagree with someone it would help your case to lay out why specifically you think they're wrong. Not doing so makes you seem irrational and unwilling to actually engage with the argument. This is after all a forum for discussion.

    why do you keep arguing about balance? dont you see that Taleworlds literally, unironically, doesnt works on multiplayer part of game at all? They dont even work on stability issues, and you trying to push some balance changes? Open your eyes to reality, accept the fact that this version of multiplayer is final product of TW. All we can hope is better MP modding scene

    So Sturgia and Empire being low tier is perfectly balanced, then?

    As i've mentioned in the thread, Aserai and Sturgia aren't very good at dealing with heavy armor, and playing Empire means you need to play perfectly in order to make the most out of some pretty average non-peasant units.

    Yes, I am aware that peasant units can grab weapons off the ground if they don't think their native weapons are good enough, though every other peasant are just strong enough to be a workable unit if you're a late joiner. I cannot say the same about the Recruit, which honesty brings the rest of Empire down since all he'll do is feed kills to the enemy.

    And this is somehow a perfectly balanced game.

    I get that TaleWorlds insists on keeping certain design choices set in stone, though I wanna think that it's possible for factions to be balanced around those design choices. If the Varyag is to be the axe specialist, other units could instead have blunt weapons to make up for the Sturgian heavy infantry's axe specialization. And I still think we need a similar increase in blunt weapons for Aserai. Since the desert-borne culture won't be using any heavy infantry, i think game balance should dictate that their ability to kill heavily armored units should improve to compensate.

    However, the fact that the factions I've mentioned have the problems that they have for more than a year likely indicates that a decently balanced game is not what TaleWorlds wants from their multiplayer mode.

  9. Question on a Badge

    They are either a TW employee or you experienced a bug where someone has a TW badge for a couple of seconds and it disappears. I've seen that too.

    Devs play their game, it's just that people in charge of the decisions at Taleworlds are so incompetent and they don't care about multiplayer.

    Good luck to anyone trying to earn some in-game loot. You either have to play tdm,siege,duel for hundreds of hours or find 11 other people to play skirmish/captain with. TW should remove the loot system and make everything free. What’s the point of having it if no one wants to play native anyways?

    Hey, can you please delete the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord" file and verify the integrity of the game files? Please let me know if the issue is persistent.
    Is the GPU Drivers up to date?
    I deleted Mount & Blade II Bannerlord file and verified my files but the issue is persistent. My GPU drivers are also up to date. It's not a problem on my end, this is a problem for everyone playing native maps. You can reproduce this issue by playing a native map in multiplayer. Last update broke something with ground textures.

    Unless that never happened. I said the game does not lag for me.

    In regards to the disconnection/lobby issues, we have pushed a fix out yesterday so the situation should have improved. Please let us know if you still run into these issues.

    We're looking into the crashes.
    1.8.0 fixed all of the stuttering problems for most people. It's not about stutters or lag, it's about the server crashes that's been going on for 3 years. Do you plan on fixing those server crashes or is TW unable to fix it?

    Sometimes bannerlord has a memory leak and it uses way more ram than it should but I haven't had any stuttering or performance issues since 1.8.0. Might be something wrong with your pc.

    what about the vertical movement scale for direciton gestures?
    I have it on default (1.5 i think) and i didn’t notice anything different with blocking after changing it to 1 or 2. Some say it helps with up and down blocks, don’t know how true that is.

  20. Cavalry (and other) sounds

    I don't think this is a bug. I have no problems hearing cavalry sounds when no other unit is alive. It gets harder to hear as more units are alive other than cavalry. Getting a better headphone might also help with cavalry sounds. Bannerlord sound occlusion is weird, cavalry might be too fast for you to hear it or maybe it's prioritizing other sound effects than horse steps, who knows.
