SP - General Minimum Peace Time & Internal Affairs

My suggestion is quite simple, I'm not sure if i remember correctly but Warband had a minimum Truce Duration. This should also apply to Bannerlord, where factions for example have a minimum Truce time of 10 days, or 14, or 21 etc etc. This way there wont be constant wars and there will be time...

SP - General Leaving Kingdom as Mercenary penalty

When leaving a kingdom as a mercenary we currently get -20 Penalty with ALL lords of that faction. You are only a mercenary you shouldn't be losing this much relations, maybe lose -5 or -10 with THAT specific lord that you signed up with to be a mercenary. Right now this is very exaggerated and...

"Singleplayer Features: Several planned single player features may be missing or incomplete. These include but are not limited to: full game controller support, some skill and perk effects, crafting, some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management. "

Just making them aware of something which is missing functionality.

Game breaking faction/kingdom snowballing balance problem

So the Dev expects that one faction will become dominating within 20 years if it's fixed..? That's still a bit **** in my opinion. There should be penalties for growing in size and there should be rebellions and conflicts between Lords and the King to hinder that process.
I'm going to start looking through the code to see what's up with this.

I feel like this game (BL) has incredible potential. What is Taleworlds history of listening to the community?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I saw a post saying that the developers want this done within a year. I really hope they take their time with it and create something as engrossing as WB was.

Yes, that's what was originally said.
But at the current state and knowing TW I wouldn't bet on it, we have a 'playable' game so let's just give them time now.

SP - General More enemy variability

Bandits should also plunder and raid villages and the bigger the empire the more bandits should be in the area & this will also hinder them from further expansion with no consequences.

SP - General How to potentially fix "King [X] has been taken prisoner by Looters" every five minutes.

I really don't understand why this hasn't been implemented from beginning , it's a sole if-else script and would make a huge difference and could help with the snowball at least a little bit.
Although it's a few factors that affect it and need fixing.

I feel like this game (BL) has incredible potential. What is Taleworlds history of listening to the community?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the modding community for Warband was and is still incredible. I just hope that they don't lean too much on independent creators to finish their game for them i.e. Skyrim.

Well the game is in early access and far from finished I'd say. Let's see where it will be in few months. Then we will be able to see where their head is at.

I feel like this game (BL) has incredible potential. What is Taleworlds history of listening to the community?

How involved is TW in their own community? Do they implement suggestions from the forums or integrate player created mods to enhance gameplay?

I'm wondering because I picked up BL and threw 42 hours at the game already and I think that this could be one of my new favorite games that I can keep returning to. If the economy, diplomacy, and certain roleplaying elements and events are implemented properly, I mean, wow. This could be something special. So I'm just curious about the company's actual track record with game design and production. Even though I spent about 400 hours in WarBand I don't know much about TW.

I think, in the end, what I'm looking for is something not as complex as a Crusader Kings 2 but with many similar elements in the diplomacy. A simpler CK2 with amazing combat, what's not to love?

But I guess what I'm asking is, "Should I get my hopes up?"

TW themselves aren't bad, they will definitely try to fix everything that they can.
You can get your hopes up for the modding community cos they are the real heroes here.
They will basically fix and expand this beyond our exceptions as they did with Warband.

    Bannerlord SP First Reactions: Megathread

It improved only on superficial stuff.

The GAME is a huge leap backwards. I mean it literally doesn't function.

    The economy doesn't work correctly.
One empire generally conquers the map within 2-5 years.
Blocking is a mess. indicator attack direction.
Terrible, horrible, grindy skill system that just freakin SUCKS compared to other M&B titles.
Companions can't be leveled or customized at all outside of the crappy gear options.
Boring pointless story quest to even try and form a kingdom.
Melee from horseback just feels like swinging at ghosts.
No auto couching lances. Just why?
Sieges are just a 5fps go afk til it's over simulator.
Archer troops just straight out refuse to use their bows/xbows on anything further than spitting distance.
Nonsense health system that makes it next to impossible to do realistic damage to unarmored foes. Nothing like looters with 2 arrows sticking in their head running straight at you.
    Ect.
    Ect.
    Ect.

The econmy is indeed a bit broken.
Snowballing & agressive AI is also an issue.
Blocking is the same as in warband.
Skills are actually quite nice and might need just a touch up or two here and there.
Companions do seem to be quite useless for some reason and I'm not sure what they did there.
The story is obviously a little bit meh but can be a good introduction to new players after some extra work.
Melee from horseback is .. normal as warband?
Auto couching could be a cool feature, for now its not a big deal.
Sieges are fine for me as long as they don't go over 1.5k soldiers (i9 9900k & rtx 2080 & 32GB ram) which im guessing might be a bit worse for people with lower end PC's.
Archers do seem broken at night battles for some reason. Other then that they work well.
Health system might be a little off but I found that it's functional and in decent shape, might need a fix or two but its good for EA.

Overall for Early Access is not the worst. Some things definitely need polish but they got the Warband Spirit and feel.
I'm happy overall. Just fix & improve.

    Bannerlord SP First Reactions: Megathread

I think the game is awesome but i wait until they fixed the snowball problem. I just could not motivate myself to play the mid- and endgame when i know that in the end i could only interact with 2 or 1 kingdoms.

After 30 hours its just one kingdom. Nothing to do. No way to advance.

    Bannerlord SP First Reactions: Megathread

The game has definitely improved over warband for features, UI is better, stuff is clearer and more convenient but as with Early access A LOT of stuff is broken.
    1) The thing that's been mentioned many many times from what i see so will not get into it - but the basics is the factions are WAYY to aggressive and I'm 30Hr in and whole map has been conquered by Northen Empire.
    2) There isn't any good ways to improve relations with other Lords, barley any quests form them etc
    3) I've started my own kingdom and I am unable to declare wars & I LOSE influence to -100 when i propose new Policies (which cost 50).
    4) Bandit Hideouts are broken - Too many men in them and you are not able to take enough of yours. There is TOO many of them spawning causing lords to get capture hence the snowballing.
    5) Economy is broken & workshops not functioning as they should, atleast in my opinion.

There is A LOT of features missing but I am guessing this is due to it being Early Access.
The most pressing issue I'd say is fixing the Aggressive Factions and Snowballing - game breaking long term.

SP - World Map My thoughts on the Faction Snowball effect. Campaigns should go on forever!

The game got instantly boring as soon as one faction took over the whole map. Only took em 30 Hours.
    Nothing to do but restart..

    Early Access Confirmed

Gotta love how the head of taleworlds says there will be early access or beta and then Callum says there isn't anything planned on the steam forum.

I think taleworlds has become a big mess. Seriously.
