    I'm experiencing a bug where the same error message gets spammed every two seconds.

    I've been playing that savegame for ~60 in-game days, using the mod's default settings and doing nothing out of the ordinary. Experienced no problems thus far until I got suddenly bombarded by this error message:

    Honestly folks, what's up with all the drama? Aren't we here just to enjoy the mod? No need for bad blood.

    Pretty sure the people that are here have no ill intentions, they're here cause they like Phantasy Calradia and and just want to see the mod grow and improve. Not everybody is a coder, but that doesn't mean that they can't provide valuable feedback and suggestions. There is no reason to see hostility in the community, for even if the mod is crafted by one person, it is the community that breathes life into it. After all, what good is a work if nobody gets to enjoy it?

    That being said, there is no need for calling names either. Some may disagree on gsanders attitude, but ranting won't change anything for the better. Don't want drama - don't poke around the embers, stirring up the flames again. In the end he's the one ironing out the flaws of the mod, so let's give credit where credit is due.

    We're adults around here, we should be able to look past each others personal flaws and dedicate our focus on this board on the improvement of the mod alone, the sole reason why are here in the first place.

    So you won't make the fix for v150 available? That's, well, quite the grief. I understand that you want people to completely move on to the next major version, but frankly its a bit disappointing that you leave v150 behind in a damaged state. I'd have very much enjoyed to continue my adventure there a lil' bit longer, instead of ending it abruptly because of a major bug caused by a recent patch. Sure, it's not game-breaking, but travelling now takes so painstakingly long that it's not even enjoyable anymore. I'd hate to have to resort to ctrl+leftclicking regulary to get around the map in a reasonable speed. So I'd appreciate if you could release the patch that fixes v150.

    Certainly I'm eager to move on to v156, but in due time. I'd be thankful if I'd be allowed do it on my terms, linger a while in ye olde v150, tie up a few loose ends in my current campaign and then retire from it for good, ready to start a new adventure in v156.

    Bugs in Phantasy 2018

    Well, I waited for several days to pass in-game. Nothing fired. Decided to completely install the mod from scratch. Deleted my mod folder, downloaded the two zips for the main mod and the patch. Unpacked it and pasted the patch files into the brand-new mod folder. It didn't help. Everything still moves across the map at grandma speed. I even made a new test character just to see if something is wrong with my older saves. No, even the new character's party, one single person, just crawls over the world map, despite waiting for roughly a week of in-game time before.

    Thanks for the effort and time that you invested into this fix, but for me at least it didn't work. I have no explanation for it.

    GS Edit:  "Everything you said is correct.  It is now removed from the mod and will not be an issue for future v155/v156 builds
      I tried both restoring the simple_triggers changes and setting AI targets for diplomacy recruiter. Considering the recruiter needs an escort to survive anything stronger than looters the recruiter function is permanently removed.  I don't have time to put him back.  For town recruiting there is already a better mechanic at town recruits menu: caravan recruiting; for castles you will have to recruit by yourself."

    Installed your experimental hot fix for slow map movement, but everything still moves in slow motion across the map.  :sad:

    Companion: 'Hold on, you're selling those bandits and orc warriors who wanted to kill us just yesterday to a ransom broker!? YOU MONSTER!' :shock:

    Why is almost every single one of my companions upset about selling captured enemies to ransom brokers? Is it a bug or a feature?
    I mean I could understand it for some of the more squeamish, kind-hearted folks like Deshavi, who was once in captivity herself, but for many others it doesn't make sense. Lezalit, the merciless, kinda sadistic drill sergeant? Bloody liar, when I previously sold enemies to a ransom broker he even came to me and said something along the lines of 'Don't listen to the others, war is rough and selling captives is just part of it.' I don't remember this ever happening in vanilla, NPCs being offended by dealing with a ransom broker.

    And even worse, even Moloc~, the demon from hell, is appaled by my heartlessness? Ye ye, first telling me how he's around Calradia to bring death and suffering to its people, but then complaining when I sell some poor sobs to a ransom broker. Ye I know you'd have me rather slaughter them or so, but you promised me when we cut our deal in that tavern that I could make a good coin from our cooperation, so stop crying when I sell some enemy survivors to slavers.

    I also sold prisoners several times before to ransom brokers in this mod, but most of the time didn't get any 'XYZ looks upset' messages, prolly only once or twice before. So are they just occassionally offended, or have I not been warned the several times before that I accidently offended my entire posse by selling prisoners? I'm so confused...

    Agreed, what's the harm of having cheats in a singleplayer game? While I can understand that you want to build in some sense of accomplishment into the game and hide legendary high-end equipment, I think it is senseless to build in such deliberate limitations into the mod. Let the players decide how they want to play their campaigns, and if they want to get quickly into the action, decked with magical equipment, some decent skills and plenty of gold, why not let them do it?

    I for one used some cheats in my first testing 'campaign', just because I wanted to get a quick taste of what this mod has to offer and how exactly it works, so I cheated myself some levels and plenty of cash to get some dapper void robes and be able to afford all sorts of different spells, eager to try them out.

    The prospect of no longer being able to play as master necromancer who subdues his enemies with hoards of skeletons and rotting corpses is quite disheartening. What's the point of having a non-playable race and major faction in a sandbox-rpg mod?

    Blast, I didn't realise that my version was so outdated. I've got v150j, downloaded it at the beginning of February on moddb. If I remember right the upload date of the file there was from January 2018, so I assumed it would be a pretty new version.

    Well I gonna update it immediately and stick from now on to nexusmods.

    Hey folks, is there any way to access the 'find an item...' menu in this mod? I activated the cheatmenu in the PBOD mod preferences, but can't find the item finder function in the camp menu. Help is much appreciated!

      Maybe it needs to be removed.  Someday when I have no emergencies to act on.

    Alright, I looked into it and managed to realign the helmets to fit better. I say managed as I'm totally new to modding, but it seems it all worked fine. For the record I simply moved the meshes of the raider helmets, umbar milita helmets and their respective lod meshes a little bit backwards. Here are the results:

    Corsair helmets no longer clip with the back of the head, the ears also sit now perfectly in between cheek- and neck guard:

    I also fixed a smaller issue with the second type of corsair helmets, where the ears clipped with the neck guard. Before and after:

    Hey there!

    First off I want to thank you for this amazing mod. I've been playing M&B for many years, but this mod really breathed some new life into the game for me!

    There's a minor error with two of the corsair helmets (umbar_militia_helmet and umbar_militia_helmet_b). It's seems they aren't properly aligned with the wearer's head, causing some ugly clipping at the back. It looks as if the helmet should be moved some inches backwards to fit properly.

    Grenades

    Grenades should really be removed from common troops. The AI just does not know how to use them effectively. Even when the troops get into close combat some soldiers consider it a good idea to toss a hand grenade into the middle of the cluster of men, taking down friends and enemies alike. Same happens when one, two enemy cavalrymen charge into my ranks. Someone will just throw a grenade at them.

    Imho the best would be to just remove grenades from any common troops. Let the player use them or give them to his heroes if he wants to, but having regular soldiers with grenades ends almost always in very frustrating ways.

    @OP I guess you could remove the grenades from the troops inventory with Morgh's M&B editor.

    Change the name of the book 'The Life of Alixenus the Great' to 'My Struggle by Führer Kampfstein'.

    If it's not too much of a hassle edit the book's texture appropriately, so that it looks like a copy of Mein Kampf, with the exception that Kampfstein's face and name is on it instead of Hitler's.

    A DDR like faction could be interesting indeed, even though the Red Wars seems to be inspired by a time between the 1920's and 40's... then again there are already Kalashnikovs available.
