Sounds silly having two teams with one leader. I thought it was clans. My own and another clan (Makes 30-45 people) were expecting to be in our own TS's leading our own men.
As this was to be our first Vikingr event we are extremely disappointed and won't be attending.
We'll set up an unofficial event for any Vikingr clans wishing to play a more traditional clan battle using this excellent mod.
Details to come in the very near future.
One leader per team, you understand that right? The shield-wall events do not pull in as many numbers as the
historical events that are synonymous with Víkingr. Instead, it provides the community a chance for the regulars both old and new to meet up, socialise and throw some spears around. If you're hankering for a chance to 'prove your worth' with your group, then the historical events are most likely going to be more suitable for you. That said, the only groups that are allowed to form their own hosts in those events are those whom have a historical (real-world) connection to Víkingr and have committed themselves as positive members of the community. In other words; long-standing and respected and thus rules you out.
We are in a unique position with the shield-wall events to keep admin and player hassle to an absolute minimum. One leader per team, on one TeamSpeak server, split into two appropriate channels, provides every participating player a refreshing and enjoyable evening. Of course you wouldn't know any better having never participated in either the historical battles nor the shield-wall events.
You'll receive minimal support and no-turn for your so-called 'unofficial' event - guaranteed.
