    No, you need to either select a DX7 compatable shader or alter the alpha channel. Possibly both. Just darkening the texture won't fix the problem.

    I present the following evidence that left handed fighters existed.

    Master Sigmund Ringeck's Commentaries on Johann Liechtenauer's Fechtbuch  - c. 1389 to 1440

    Note: This tenet is addressed to left-handers and right-handers. If you are a right-handed fencer and you are closing to an opponent and you think you can hit him, do not strike the first blow from the (your) left side. Because you are weak there and you cannot resist, if he binds strongly against your blade. Because of this, strike from the right side, you can work strongly "Am Schwert" ("on the sword") and you can use all techniques you like. So, if you are left-handed, do not strike from the right side, since left-handers are usually not used to strike effectively from the right side and vice versa.

    Bug Reports for 1.9

    I'm getting an odd clingfilm/oiled effect on most helmets and some shields. For the helmets it seems to be affecting bronze helmets with the shader "shiny_shader". Also, some of the feathers on helmets are not "cut out" and have a black rectangle surrounding them. In addition, some of the gladiator armour is not reacting to light and is bright all the time.

    I apologise for not replying in quite some time, but uni work finally caught up with me. I have done the models for two of the axes though. I have just one more exam and then I'll have a lot more free time to spend on this. Just to let you know "I'm not dead".

    Battle for Sicily 0.500 for M&B 0.808 now available, probably will have bugs

    This is a great mod with lots of potential, but I have noticed a few things.

    Sieges don't really work. I know the AI is terrible and you can't change it but as it is I just can't take an enemy castle.
    I think making the walls, ladders and stairs wider would reduce soldiers falling off as much, and maybe extra waypoints underneath the ladders to have them try again if they do. Other than that, I don't really know how one would go about making the sieges work.

    The weapon length for a lot of weapons seems to be set too short for the models, causing misses when it should logically hit. If the weapons are meant to be shorter than that is fine, but the models should probably be altered also.

    In general the horses are far too sluggish to respond, increasing the manoeuvre would help in my opinion.

    Not having any geographical knowledge of Sicily, I find the map to be very confusing and I keep getting lost. Adding some sort of compass so I can keep track of which way is north would probably help a lot.

    Although seeing alarm signals from friendly villages is good, there is currently no way to determine if it was just some bandits walking by or a full scale attack on the town. I think historically different forms of smoke signals were used for different messages (small party spotted, village under attack etc.), and knowing more about what is going on would be very useful. More than once my faction lost a castle and I didn't notice until days later.

    Battle between parties seem to be over very quickly. For example, I spotted two vassals with about 30 troops each fighting and by the time I got there to join in the battle was already over.

    Anyway, this is a really great mod and is brilliant fun to play. Good luck with it in the future.

    I can't seem to get python to work. I followed tutorial as best as I could but I don't really understand the step about changing the path variable. The official help file doesn't appear to mention it. When I use "build_module.bat" I get a list of error messages that say something like : "python"...

    Difficulty option: Change the amount of stuff you loose after a defeat

    .805 bugs and issues

    To do with the training area:
    I swapped my starter weapons for the weapons in the chest to practice fighting and when I tabbed out of the area I lost all of my weapons apart from the useless knife. (eg. my crossbow,bolts and my arming sword)

    Another time, instead of pressing tab to leave I rode to the edge of the map and left by pressing F and I kept all of the weapons I picked up in the chests. The all have a value of 0 so I assume that you're not supposed to take them with you.

    In general:
    A lot of the areas (the arena balconies for example) have no doors leading out so the only way to leave is to press tab. It's not a big problem but I prefer not to use tab to leave as teleportation doesn't feel very medieval.

    EDIT: Now I try again and I can't leave by any method. I'm stuck in the tutorial!

    It sounds good. Just one thing though. The expansion pack for Half-Life 2 is going to be called aftermath as well, so I suggest you consider changing the name to something less copyright infringing. Other than that it sounds really good. Good luck!

    It looks very nice. Just one thing, the scythes appear to be the wrong way round, cutting with the blunt side instead of with the sharp concave side. Other than that, great effort!

    Yes, very realistic for a trained archer to not be able to see where he is shooting! Come on, this is a bug, please fix it.
