Just adding my voice as a victim of this bug. No mods, clean start on 1.2.0, have had companions "unassign" themselves from party roles very regularly (about every minute or so on 4x speed). This includes when just traveling between points on the campaign map, without modifying party screen or visiting towns/villages or anything else. Making the beta unplayable for the time being, but otherwise love all the new features!
