    For anyone with the same problem... Antivirus will intervene. In my case, bit defender, there was no notification. Even with some exceptions and whitelisting the problem was persistent.The category you need to check is "Safe Files/Application Access". Grant access to the Bannelornd Launcher and you're good to go.
