4. If you havent't got NW so far you download 'Latest Version' on the 'Taleworlds Download Server 2' ( about 700 mb ) --> this is the latest version so this should work getting you on the servers

As you have registered NW, it appears you have a legitimate key for that; without the icon for WB or you responding to where you bought WB, it isn't as clear that you have a legitimate key for WB so you may need to buy a legit key if you don't have one.

Again, as my post stated, it is unclear what of the suggested solutions you have tried or where exactly you purchased the games from. With all that folks have posted above, you have more than enough information to solve whatever hiccups you are experiencing...if you own legitimate keys to both Warband and the Napoleonic Wars DLC, that is.

I'm not entirely sure of the things you have tried here. Your best bet is a full un-install. After uninstalling, you might also consider deleting the hidden data the game keeps in %APPDATA%\Mount&Blade Warband\  (like your MP profiles and control settings). Also to delete would be the rgl_config.txt file found in your Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\ folder.  You might also go into your Windows Registry and delete all the key information stored there to try for a fully fresh start.

You should also see an entry for NW, which you can delete, too

Then install the Warband downloaded directly from Taleworlds and then the NW downloaded directly from FSE (neither downloaded from Amazon, if those were causing you troubles, and both full installations, not patches).

That should give you the freshest possible, and it certainly should work.
If not, then did you buy directly from Amazon or from a re-seller? It is possible that your key(s) is not legitimate.

Just check out the support area, there's a FAQ there, and I'm quite sure there's an answer to you problem there.

Try this for both of your cd keys:


1.Click Start > Run
2.Enter regedit
3.A new window will open, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > MountAndBladeWarbandKeys
4.Search the entry, serial_key_nw, make sure that the value is the same as your CD key. Also make sure that the key is separated correctly. Double click the entry and modify it until it is correct. Watch out for invisible spaces in the CD key.
5.If you are done with that, close the Registry Window and start the game, connect to the server and have fun playing!

This is the same author of another thread where Kashaka clearly stated he didn't purchase Warband along with NW.

The only way to resolve your issue is to buy Warband as well, since you need that serial key. It should've been clear from the beginning as I'm sure Amazon states it is an expansion.

I hope everyone else notices this before spending, they're just feeding a company money without being able to play the game.

install Warband from wherever you got it, it should be version 1.153, you can download it here;

Meanwhile, download Version 1.005 of NW here

This way, you will have the latest version of both.(Unless you have it from Steam or another online distributor, in which case, you shuold have the latest versions)

You need to have a CD-Key for both Warband and NW to play, by the way.
