Heh, i have been looting sarranid villages, selling stuff at khergit towns... made ALOT of money like that, got caught 2 times though... lost all the men, had most of the money though,. now have good armour and good men to help, no need to do it anymore, now living on capturing weak enemy lords after battles... last time i took the nord king, got 10k for him. and if to think he had only 20 men(who could fight) it wasnt that much of a stretch.... plus i had a good handful of prisoners after that, got alot from there too....

but this thread is good, will go to buy myself dyeworks in reyvadin now...

A stupid question, my friend bought two copies of warband (boxed), i installed steam yesterday evening and i entered the cd key, then started downloading the game, now i have the game, but it says error unable to connect, I can´ t join ANY of the servers I have tried. Does this mean that I have the same problem as many other guys with steam, that my serial was already used, even though i bought a boxed version?
Friends version works well and can join everywhere he wants...

So let me know...atleast then i can rest easy and wait for things to get settled with steam.
Would help me save time, and not think that something else is wrong. If this isnt the problem then i will continue in looking for a solution whats happening and why with my own problem...

Ok i have the game now, steam activated and all....but it wont connect to servers for some problem, need to work it out on friday. So atleast some progress ...only bad thing its the newest version 1.150 that i have heard is quite buggy. Maybe thats a part of the connectivity problem, will see, steam didnt let me choose between ... But soon hopefully!!

I have played it only on demo (so until lvl7 or something) and i REALLY like it, very well done, the towns look great and i must say i am a big fan, too bad i cant try out the sea battles yet...
The war fog thing is great too..and not having to find guildmasters/village headmen. All my respect to the maker, hope it grows and evolves even more. With more battlefields and such.

Anyway i am a big fan already!!!

Thanks, at the moment there is nothing that cheap on GamersGate. found eBay to be a bit cheaper. So i think next month i will get the game. this month there are too many expences still to make... but now i made some budget cuts and i am certain i can pull it off... for the answrers. i will offer a chance to cut me down later when i get to multiplayer heheh.... but until then i will practise some more so you wont get it too easy...

I have a internet stick, a wireless version since i live in the country and no availability of permanent connection, on good days i get about 2-3 megabytes, when its bad weather or alot of users it goes down to 400kbs.... so it should sit in the limit ... now most of my questions are answered without sarcasm, a friendly place!

Caba`drin thanks for the answer, cleared up some things for me that i clearly misunderstood from posts on internet. Saved me from suprises.

I will probably buy one now and later the second one. But this game will have a few more players soon . The fact that modding is not restricted and how many mods i have seen here on the forum is just staggering, i can find what suits me the best. Plus the warband age and concept is just right age for me. Not too soon, not too late.

Just hope my internet can handle it well. Well if it doesnt i guess its months worth of single player game anyway.
