Go into your rgl_config and change render_buffer_size to 500, this fixed my crashes 

Yep all of a sudden today I have got this message, Warband works fine it's just Napoleonic Wars which doesn't. 

I managed to fix this issue, there was a problem with my Virgin Media SuperHub and I had to tweak some settings, I posted the solution over at the FSE forums in a thread regarding this issue.

Have you tried the rgl_config fix by going to documents/Mount&Blade Warband/Rgl_Config and then change Render_Buffer_Size to 500?

I have this issue also, apart from when i get kicked out of the server i get a message saying "Connection to server is lost". 

I have the exact same issue as you do, since we got a new Virgin Media Superhub i have been losing connection to every server i play on too. 

When you start up Mount & Blade, go to configure and then video options and find load textures on demand, if the box next to it is unticked, tick it, and if it's ticked, try unticking it and see if this works. If by enabling or disabling load textures on demand doesn't work, try enabling force single threading in the advanced tab under configure.

Well you're not alone with this problem, i get it too and i've had this problem now for several months, i can last around 30 minutes to an hour before i lose connection, it's damn annoying. 

I think the problem is somehow related to teamspeak 3, not sure if it is or not but when i'm in a linebattle with teamspeak up i always lose connection. when i am playing without it on my own i never lose connection.

No idea really, you could try changing your internet channel maybe because the one your on might be too congested.

Maybe if your on steam you could verify the integrity of your game cache because you might be missing a few files.

Another way might be to try and reinstall Mount & Blade seen as it doesn't take that long to reinstall.

Maybe none of those will work, just having a guess here. 

Hi, i used to have this problem too, what OS do you have? When i used to have Windows XP there was a service called windows zero configuration, and if you disable this service, your lag spikes should go away, because mine did. Incase you dont know how to get into services just go to run, type in services and press enter, then just scroll down to near the bottom and disable that service.

I thought i had fixed this issue but now i lose connection again like every 15-30 minutes.

I would just like to say that i think i have fixed the issue, ever since i enabled load textures on demand i haven't lost connection, i dont know if this has fixed the issue but for now it has. 

Maybe it is a router problem because over on the FSE forums someone replied the same thing, saying that it could be a router problem.

Well, i did fiddle with my router a bit and when i went to play Napoleonic Wars i didn't lose connection at all, and i was playing for like 1 hour and a bit, so maybe i fiddled with the right thing. 

Also, my provider is Virgin Media, and let's hope the next patch sorts everything out. 

Hi, i have bumped this thread up again because my problem has returned, i yet again lose connection to servers, just now it seems to be more frequent than before 

I have been playing for 2 hours and over straight and haven't lost connection once by setting my maximum connections to 5! That must of fixed it then hopefully, thanks for the fix Moogs! 

Moogs, so far it looks like by lowering the max number of connections to round about 5 works, i have been in a server for over an hour now and i haven't lost the connection! Fingers crossed 

I just changed max connections to 5 now and have entered a server, i will tell you if i lose connection or not.
