  1. Need More Info (AMD)GPU&CPU permanently at 100%

The GPU being at %100 percent usage is a good thing for getting the most of your gpu unless you are worried about the cooling and the general state of the GPU. Limiting your frame rate to your monitor refresh rate or enabling Vsync would be nice options for you. Thanks for your input. Hope you have fun!
But a 8GB GPU sitting at 100% usage suggests the game is using 8GB when it only needs 3, Or am i wrong? my understanding is if a game only needs 3GB, it should only be using 3GB?
  2. Major graphics lag/spikes

Thanks for the data. I have checked the GPU memory usage of the game on various locations, Very High on 1440p never passed 4.9GB. Can you check the memory usage of your card before you launch the game? There may be some other applications allocating memory. Also, can you tell me in which scenes it passes to 6GB? Hopefully we can find some short term solution for you while we are trying to replicate and fix the issue. Thanks in advance.

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

-When the game is not running, my GPU operates at 1-5%. There are no apps or programs running in the background that shouldn't be.
-There is no specific scene, I experince 90 to 100% usage on my GPU in the main menu, on the map, in battles, in towns, in bandit hideouts and in conversation with NPC's on the map and in towns. The only time this drops is during loading scenes.

    My system;
    -Windows 10 64
    -Intel i5 2.7GHz
    -Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
    -16GB Ram
    -Standard 1TB hard drive.
  3. Need More Info GPU issues! (Navidia GTX 1060 6GB)

Nope, I have one GPU and my CPU has no integrated graphics. My ^GB graphics card is the only option in Video Adaptor settings in game
  4. Major graphics lag/spikes

Unless you capped your fps with the limiter option or vsync and it reaches the cap, it is supposed to always work at 100% load, no matter how low the resolution and graphic settings are.
moroncarbide, i think you misunderstood. my GPU has 6GB of memory, that means it can handle up to 6GB of graphics. If im playing a game that requires 3GB, it will only use 3GB (50%) and will display as such on my computers task manger. I have seen this in action as i stress test every new game i buy. I hit ctrl+alt+del, run task manager and check CPU, Ram, Disk and GPU usage to make sure my system is handling the game. For example, when i run mount and blade warband, i see an increase in of about 15% if that under GPU on task manger. With Bannerlords, its hitting 100% (6GB) of graphics memory. This means the card is being pushed to its limit. This happens on high and low settings and can be bad for the card after long periods of play as the card heats up. Bannerlord requires 3GB on max settings which means there is a problem somewhere. I have confirmed this is not an isolated problem and it would appear that its hitting a lot of people with nvidia GTX 10 series cards. Not all people with these cards are effected but enough people are having the problem when they have equal to or more power than is required, suggesting there is an optimisation issue. The game is demanding more power than is required.
  5. Major graphics lag/spikes

Currently, i don't play this game, I launch it, check to see if the GPU is still screwy then hop on to the forums desperately hunting for a fix, then i go play something else.
Can you try enabling Vsync or setting the frame limiter to your monitor refresh rate? It may be that your GPU is trying to put on too much frames.
I have tried all these things, iv capped FPS at 60, turned on Vsync, tried borderless made, tried fullscreen. My GPU is the only video adaptor option. This is hellish
  6. Need More Info GPU issues! (Navidia GTX 1060 6GB)

I do not have the option to select anything but my GPU in options. My CPU does not have intergrated graphics
  7. Need More Info Major GPU issue

My 6GB nividia GTX1060 memory usage is sitting at 90 to 100% usage while playing the game, even in the main menu. In options; -My GPU is selected as the graphics adaptor. It is the only option i can select as my CPU has no integrated graphics. -The game is set to my native resolution. (applied...
  8. Major graphics lag/spikes

With development ongoing, we are hoping to improve stability and performance for all supported systems.

For the time being, though, could you share your chosen graphical options here? We (and the community) may be able to make some recommendations that way.

Im using a Navidai GTX 1060 6GB with 16GB of ram. I also have an intel I5 2.7GHz. As far as im aware, this is above the recommended specs on steam. CPU is happy, RAM is fine but my GPU is maxed out and overheating on the main menu, on the campaign map and in all scenes, It only gets a break during loading screens. This does not happen a few hours in, my GPU max's out as soon as i launch the game.

-I have tried low and high settings.
-I have set resolution to my native desktop resolution manually.
-I have tried turning shadows off,
-I have tinkered with the Navidia control panel, following online guides about how to optimise Bannerlord.
-I have tried running the game in window mode, full screen and borderless.
-I have re-installed my graphics drivers.
-I have all but given up.

I put aside money for this game which was difficult considering finances during this pandemic were in the middle of. Gamble on my part considering Bannerlords is is early access so that's my bad, but i could have maybe sunk those funds into something else to keep me going while i cant work. Never mind, hope this gets fixed soon. I would love to see some kind of mention about these issues in the known issues thread so that i know these problems have been officially recognised and efforts are being made to fix them at some point if possible.
  9. Need More Info GPU issues! (Navidia GTX 1060 6GB)

Also the video link i posted above worked for all of 5 minutes regretfully... I checked to see if my pc is using the CPU instead of the GPU as some have reported that sometimes the game tries to use the CPU instead if it has integrated graphics but mine does not. Total mystery, my GPU is hitting 100% as soon as i get to the main menu.
  10. Need More Info GPU issues! (Navidia GTX 1060 6GB)

Would be nice to have an actual developer respond about this issue. They are jumping on everything else...
  11. Need More Info GPU issues! (Navidia GTX 1060 6GB)

I tried that to no avail unfortunately. I managed to get my card to settle out at 80% -90% by following the steps in the video but its not perfect.

I dont think its actually meant for my specific issue but at least my GPU isnt completely dyeing despite being twice the power required at max settings.
  12. Need More Info GPU issues! (Navidia GTX 1060 6GB)

Hi Taleworlds, Im loving what I have seen of Bannerlord so far and I'm really looking forward to the complete game. I have a major problem however... As soon as i start the game, my GPU hits the roof. In the control panel, the GPU is hitting 100%. My card should be more than enough to run this...
  13. In Progress Possible Memory Leakage

Thanks for your input. With the current memory leak, 8 GM of ram can start having serious spikes after long game plays. This is temporary and will be fixed at the near future. I am not sure but maybe closing the steam overlay my have freed some more ram to make this issue felt less. Finally, we are only collecting GPU and CPU information for the dumps to fasten the fixing process. Hope you have fun.

I have a GTX 1060 6GB and its hitting 100% from the main menu. Im guessing this shouldn't be happening considering the game requires 3 at best?
  14. Need More Info GPU MAX USAGE, OVERHEAT, LAG. ANY SETTING GTX 1060, 1070 (more than only me)

Right guys, this is not a perfect fix but its worked for me and my GTX 1060 6GB.

Follow the steps in this video:

I have gone from 100% in Map, Menu and Battles to 80%-90%. My GPU is still being overused considering the game is meant to run on max setting on a 3GB card but at least its not maxed out anymore.

Let mek now if this helps, It worked for me but i have no idea if it will work for others.
  15. Need More Info Memory Leak? GPU through the roof.

I have a GTX 1060 6GB, same problem. GTX 10 series and the new Radeon 5700 seem to be hit with this problem. Hellish. Its been picked up on by the devs according to there sticky post of known bugs on steam so we just need to wait and see. Iv been waiting years for this, only to discover half a game with serious optimisation issues. I get that they are a small team but they have had 7 years... I guess we have waited this long, we can wait some more.
  16. Need More Info Frame rate issues

My card hasnt overheated. A mix of medium and high settings in 1080p. Whats your cpu?

I will note I have the 6GB version. Game never used over 4.

Im using the 6GB version of the GTX 1060 myself with an intel I5 at 2.7GHz and 16GB ram, should be more than enough to handle this game but my GPU is working flat out.
  17. Need More Info Frame rate issues

I can confirm that the gtx 1060 is absolutely fine. The comment about the game not liking that card isnt quite right, i had over 70 fps consistently.
I would very much like to know what setting you have used to get your game running smoothly. I based my comment of of a developers comment on steam where they have listed all known bugs and problems. They stated that some cards are being over utilised by the game, specifically GTX 1060, GTX 1070 and AMD 5700 X. If you are getting a smooth experience, I would very much like to know how because im worried about running my GPU at 100% all the time. Iv manged to get the game to run smoothly in battles up to 350 men in size but the card is sitting at 100% in the map and in the battles, only calming down during loading times. I dont want to fry my card.
  18. In Progress Shuttering,Hard Drop on FPS

I think is Nvidia problem, because in Doom eternal the 1000 series video Card and below have a very bar performance
One of AMD's brand new 8GB GPU's is having the same problem but it does seem that Navidia cards have been hit for the most part. Im betting something about the game itself sends certain set ups into overdrive. Hopefully it will be patched
  19. In Progress Shuttering,Hard Drop on FPS

I'm having similar problems with the GTX 1050 4GB
If you are gunning for max settings on a 4GB Graphics card, you could easily max out your card in battles with Bannerlord depending on what else your computer is using the GPU for in the background. I would recommend medium settings. If the problem persists then yes, you could be having similar problems.
