There are three main things that attracted me to cRPG:
* It is possible to play without a shield, without getting shot to death every round.
* You can pick whatever weapon you like, rather than being forced to select from faction offerings.
* The mod is much more infantry-focused than Native, with infantry deciding most maps.
I hate the grind, the high armor values (anything over 30 armor), and the clunky thrust & overhead turn rate caps, but I feel the above points make for vastly better pub battles. I feel like the ideal mod would be cRPG with Native melee, low armor values, and no grind.
