    Ultimately depends on what they've got in the garrison and how many are fighting in the battle overall

    There seems to be occasions where certain cities and castles dont have these issues and siege towers work decently. But it's mainly level 3 walls that I'm noticing this issue with.

    If I'm the leader of the siege I tend to only build 4 trebuchets, they take a lot of hits on the worldmap and oneshot other siege devices. Sometimes a single one can beat 3 ballista's etc. Then you can either assault or wait till you have 2 big holes in the walls. Sieging walls with ladders/towers is just fruitless atm...

    That's because towers and ladders are nothing more than choke points for you to have thousands of units get slaughtered at.

    I defended my city successfully (finally) against 1000 Vlandians with only about 260 defenders. The only threat in the entire siege was their battering ram, which I managed to destroy after practicing with the catapult non stop to work out what angle and power I need to hit the ram as soon as the match starts.

    Although many of my posts may seem negative, it's not because I hate the game, or the devs, it's because I want the game to get better, and I feel like sugarcoating anything will result in people believing whatever issue I have isn't a big deal.

    They said many times it would take a year or so to fully finish and polish the game. They aren't lying to us, 'nor are they trying to deceive us by making an empty shell of a game that barely works. I bought this game knowing full well what I was in for, and so I'm treating it more like I'm a very very early tester

    They've been slamming bugs and exploits into the ground since day one. With a new patch almost EVERY DAY of release. That is how much they care about making sure this thing isn't a major disappointment for everyone who has waited YEARS for this game.

    Different skins for different factions would be nice

    Now I'm defending the same city against the Vlandians, we got 3 catapults and a ballista. And best of all:

    IT DOESN'T EVEN LET ME CHOOSE WHAT SIEGE ENGINES I WANT TO BUILD IN MY OWN CITY.

    As soon as the siege started, none of my dudes actually bothered with the siege equipment other than the ballista. They each fired one shot, missed and then that was it. - None of their siege gear was destroyed. Nobody was killed.

  7. Battanians basically have no mass archers... and thats bad.

    When you ask various people about Nezretes' Folly, some say that Battanians are usually very weak to archers. - Which also surprises me that the Fiann Archers are their main deal. - It's entirely the luck of the draw as to whether or not you get your "champion" units. - IMO Falxmen (which when you ask about the Folly quest, are mentioned to be the main weapon of the Battanians) should be the special unit, and should be easier to come by in general.

    Because archers are useless as one or two, and stupidly OP as a group of 15+, there is no middle. - Hence why the Empire stomps Battania in every single war.

  9. Which leveling system do you prefer Warband or Bannerlord?

    I'm level 12, yet I got an army packed with highest tier troops, I own a castle, level 3/4 clan, constantly rocking armies of 100+, plus caravans, plus workshops, and yet all my companions are like level 16-20.


    It's taken me forever just to get to level 12. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

    Real talk, field combat isn't even a challenge when it gets to that point, I'm only like 72 in polearms, yet:

    Got the Voulge (A relatively cheap T5 polearm that can couch, be used as a one handed spear, AND as an OP swinging polearm) , got on a horse, and congrats! I can now one hit kill literally any unit on a swing. Yes, even the level 31 units and enemy heroes.

    I feel like that level of ridiculousness should be an end-game thing, not barely mid level..

    I figured out what it was.

    It seems to be that when a castle has been reconquered and the towns near it have been raided, loyalty falls through the floor, - If they're also starving etc etc then it seems that productivity gets a HUGE debuff, meaning that the negative resources glitch occurs.

    I think it's supposed to stop at 0%.

    Hmmm a bug? most likely, maybe bad management? Does your castle included a village?
    Two, they recently just recovered from raiding. - Thing is I cant build stuff to boost village production if the production itself is negative

    I got the castle from the AI, I dunno what I'm doing with it at all

    Whats your difficulty setting for AI challenge, i forget the exact option, AI combat intelligence, AI Combat, whatever.

    Mine is set to average, so the default is good maybe thats why cuz i havent run into that problem. Each little group sticks to itself inthe camps that i clear.

    I changed mine to Average because the Ai has perfect timing on blocks and attacks on good and i can hardly kill1 guy due to it.......IE Im not that good. lol

    I did change dmg to realistic though to offset the dumbing down of the AI.
    I've resorted to just turning everything down to easiest for the camps themselves. I find every aspect of this game fun other than camps right now. I have a blast sieging castles.

    I did one one last night. 22-15-5-5 and won with 2 guys left.

    Set your guys to shield wall first and put them in a position, then set them to follow, come to a enemy or group, then charge, once they have been killed change back to follow, rinse repeat till you win.

    Its not THAT hard. Its a challenge just stop yolo'ing these places aand you'll be fine.

    Whaddya think I've been trying to do? If I got shield units I'll use them. But dragging 8 random units into a battle doesn't bode well, especially when for some reason the entire camp starts to charge me and launch arrows from every direction. (No "fire at will", and I don't use missiles, they just start munching me as if they all of a sudden can see me from across the map)

    The vets should know this from previous games but click and drag higher tier troops and move them to the top of your army queue. That way, they'll be the 9 that go with you. It may help some who stink like me and play it on easiest level :wink:
    But that doesn't always work.

    I set 8 Sergeants to the top of my queue - My companion, 3 sergeants, a couple of recruits and some others came in too who were at the bottom of the list.

    Either it's SUPPOSED to work, but it doesn't, or perhaps there should be a better way.

    Not usually superstitious, but I just gave the Dragon Banner to Vlandia, got the quest that this spymaster is planning my downfall and I gotta counteract the conspiracy.

  19. Forest Bandit Hideouts way unbalanced!

    All hideouts are like this currently. My ONLY solution to the forest guys was to wait around until all/most of their dudes left and then attack, but that could take up to a week as they rarely leave once they're there.

    IMO the more they have in their hideout the more you should be able to take, plus perhaps the ability to pick the party beforehand (so we can stop bringing in heroes into high risk matches)
  20. [Suggestion/Bug?] Hideout Rebalancing

    I'm resorting to sending away any units that aren't Imperial/Shields, and making sure I have NO recruits before I go into a battle.
