  1. War Score continues to feel bad, man.

Same for the player, what is your justification for an unprovoked attack and declaration of war? Just mindless conquering.
  2. Are there still game breaking bugs?

I haven't had any problems, including crashes for a long time. Make a habit of saving often, but even with 1000 troop battles it seems fine to me. I have a 1080 with 8GB of VRAM so it seems good even with older GPUs.
  3. Nothing Wrong With Cavalry. Everything Wrong With The Player

Cavalry is fine. You can't charge cavalry directly into the front of infantry without taking losses. Cavalry works the same way in other games too, like the Total War series where you will lose a lot of cavalry if you charge into the front of infantry. You need to use the Hammer and Anvil method. Enemy infantry has to be distracted, like fighting your own infantry, then you can bring down the hammer on them with your cavalry charge.
  4. Charge damage

In Warband, cavalry was so powerful, even against spear infantry, that the forums were full of posts on how to make a system where infantry can hold its own against cavalry. It's funny that with Bannerlord, which has this system, people are complaining about cavalry being too weak. I get it, there are still bugs with cavalry and especially lance use, but they're not as weak as it's being made out. If cavalry is not moving and just duking it out with infantry, it should take losses, all the power comes from the momentum and charge from the mount, if the mount is just standing there, then I see nothing wrong with cavalry taking losses. The AI does seem to try and disengage cavalry if it can, but if the infantry is rows deep, then the cavalry is going to get stuck after a charge. Again I see nothing wrong with this, a bunch of infantry already died and if they kill the cavalry before they can disengage, then that's the way it should be.
  5. Any ideas how to make Perisno harder?

So basically you're going 600 vs 1200 in the most difficult setting, offensive siege, and only losing 40-50 men?  That sounds like breezing through the game to me, there's no chance of you losing that fight right?  And it was against double the troops with huge defensive advantage.  Now imagine if this was on the battlefield, is there any army or even combined army of any faction that can beat you?  If not, then that's called breezing.
  6. A Grund Question

I'm also of the opinion that defenders should have a very large advantage, or why else build the castle and walls or fortifications if they can be easily bypassed or don't really help?  The way I'm playing my current game, I'm trying to keep all factions alive and help smaller factions expand, that means I'm mostly fighting defensive sieges.  For me to have a chance of defending, I need a chokepoint, the AI will never attack if they don't have a big numbers advantage.  As for offensive sieges, the player can just charge, destroy his army and come back tomorrow with another one, I've never had a problem with offensive sieges being too hard, just get more troops.

Dwallnor is one of the cities that are impossible to defend because there is no chokepoint and so your outnumbered defenders will lose no matter what.  Again, no one will attack without a numbers advantage, so it seems to me very bad design to make it so there is no way for the defender to win.

Grund is a great defensive city, but not because of the defender spawns, those spawns hurt me as a defender more than they help.  I have to order the spawning soldiers to come to the front of the house where the stakes are to make a chokepoint.  From that chokepoint and my archers firing from the roofs, I can slaughter attacking forces.  The most casualties I take is from defenders getting killed before they are able to come to the chokepoint because they spawn too far in front.
  7. Recruiting Red Immortals?

so it's faction relationship + 3x(persuasion skill)?  Persuasion skill then isn't very good, at 3 persuasion, you only get 9 more points?  30 points at max 10 persuasion?
  8. PBOD or not PBOD

I found the companions following you around to be pointless.  It makes any of the ambushes or drunk fights meaningless as you can even stand still and watch your companions kill everyone.  They also get in the way a lot so I'm glad it's removed.
  9. Project S

I strongly disagree with eliminating single ladders.  If you're going to eliminate single ladders creatively, you need to make some sort of chokepoint available so that the defense has a chance in a siege.  In certain towns, the Dwarven ones, it's impossible to defend because it's all wide open and you're outnumbered 3:1 or more.  How is a defender supposed to have a chance?  In contrast, Grund has a nice chokepoint without using ladders and can be defended.

I think a lot of players only attack and never defend, that's a difference of playstyle, whether to rush through the game in an offensive blitz or what I do, which is to take my time.  I just want a siege to be challenging and punishing to the attacker, even if I'm the attacker instead of a stomp where the defenders have no advantage at all, despite being behind fortified walls.
  10. Perisno Q&A + FAQ

When I press "o" standing close to an archer, nothing happens.  I don't get more arrows and I've done this many many times to different archers that I know have arrows because I've killed them and they've dropped arrows.  Is there something I need to do to activate the "o" command?  Settings, anything?  By the way, I can use num to take/give from my treasury.
  11. Custom Troops Discussion

If the developers are going to buff household and hired mercs even more, then I hope they will compensate by increasing the garrison sizes and troop strengths of AI lords so that there can be at least some sort of challenge.  I understand that AI will never be as powerful of a force as an army of all household and hired mercs, but balance has shifted towards the player in the new 0.9 and the AI needs to be given more power.
  12. Ideas how to make Pendor harder

What I do is to restrict myself to never recruiting nobles.  I also am not allowed to recruit knighthood troops other than the ones that naturally appear in my garrison.  I cannot hire mercs in taverns either.

I think the difficulty of the game has actually decreased from 3.8 to 3.9.  Most of the mods aren't challenging enough, especially in mid to late game, which makes the game boring after you reach a certain point.  So far PoP remains interesting to play for the longest period of time.  I'm playing Perisino right now, but that mod also has become easier thanks to the developers reducing garrison sizes for all towns and castles.  It was already pretty easy.

I hope the developers of PoP will ignore user demands to make the game easier and if they add something to make the player more powerful or gain easier access to resources, balance it out by also giving the AI factions more power by way of more troops or higher end troops.
  13. PBOD or not PBOD

The PBOD was more of a hindrance than anything.  The formations were much less effective than just waiting for the enemy to come and hitting charge.  I should clarify and say it wasn't worth the effort and time to try and set formations as the AI was too stupid to make use of the formations and really doesn't matter when you have good troops anyway.
  14. Towns have over 2500 garrisons, Seriously?

Thank God Persino updates the garrisons to be a deterrent.  Armies routinely have 2000+ troops so garrisons need that many just to be able to defend, but it's rare for garrisons to have 2000 troops.  Most have 500 or so which is still too small for me.
  15. Never join the Tolrania!

Why can't you use your own cavalry to counter enemy cavalry?  Some horse archers as well to distract and lure enemy cavalry around in circles.  I've always used cavalry as anti-cavalry as nothing but good positioning and a dense mass of infantry plus archers will work otherwise.  My army is usually 40% cavalry, 30% infantry and 30% archers.
  16. Perisno Mod Bug Reports

I've noticed some bugs as well, I installed the PBOD less patch.  I can no longer go into my businesses I have in my towns, the option doesn't show up in the menu.  The Zann made peace with 3 of the factions they were fighting against, I thought it was hard coded so that the Zann can't make peace with the factions they are initially at war with.
  17. About Household Guards.

The stuff you put into their weapon slots only affects the chance they will get that weapon if you give them more than one choice.  That's why it's often better TO KEEP IT SIMPLE.  I'd rather have an unit that can be relied upon to do one thing than an unit that has a bunch of powerful weapons, but you don't know which they will spawn with.

Truthfully, unless there's a reason for it, I'd rather have the Perisno developers do the same for all troops as well.  I hate it when I upgrade my 1-H plus shield troop and I get a troop that also can come with a 2H sword and no shield.  That's not an upgrade to me because that 2-H troop fits a different role, a shock infantry role, while my main infantry line has to have shields.
  18. Perisno Q&A + FAQ

I also have a question.  I noticed sometimes that I get buffs to skills like foraging and pathfinding and have no idea why (skills are green for a time then go away).  What causes this?

Also it seems certain troops will give buffs to your party.  Is there a list of which troops give which buffs somewhere?  Is there a way in the game to tell?
  19. Perisno Q&A + FAQ

I don't think there is a way to change her name without the editor.  Even so, she is still a queen, just not of your realm.
  20. End Game

Considering that the player can get very good troops by the beginning of early mid-game and how much training skill the companions have, I think it would be good for balance just to give better troops to lords.  It should be recognized that the player will have no or very few low-level troops in his army.  A serious army fielded by the player will have only the best troops and the optimal mix for his playstyle, probably in the range of 50% cavalry.  The AI lords should be configured to balance this type of likely player army.

I think AI lords need more top tier troops and more cavalry.  Yes great improvements over balance have already been made and lords have more cavalry than previously, but they need even more to be competitive.  At least give Kings and the most powerful lords of each faction more top tier troops at the expensive of low/mid-range troops, especially calvary.  Yes Kings and powerful lords already have great cavalry, but need even more.

This makes sense because these are established rulers of kingdoms and long-time fief owners who have had generations to build up their economic and military might (I'm talking about potential lore or justifications).

In my opinion, giving the player a challenge for as long as possible is what makes a mod fun.  I usually never play out the end-game because it's too much of a chore because the outcome is already decided.  All I have to do is conquer town after town and fight battles that are not a challenge at all.  I can F1 F3 and go away and that's not fun playing.

I would say that this is already my 2nd favorite mod and it's very good.  My favorite mod is Prophecy of Pendor, which manages to challenge me for the longest time of any mod.  In that mod, it's routine for AI lords to have 50% cavalry and 50% top tier troops.  No, I can still slaughter them, but it's more exciting, especially in combat when I'm going against AI troops that can actually harm me if I make a mistake.  I don't think giving AI lords better troops would take away from the fun of the mod, considering all the buffs to training and troop recruiting this mods offers (recruiters and constable training is OP in my opinion).
