  4. Too many wounded men

    I had this since 1.02. I suspected its the Surgery skill somehow apply to both sides instead of just yours, I have 2 characters with 10+ surgery and I don't see nearly as many actual deaths as I should. I don't really mind since its the only reliable way for me to earn enough to upkeep my army and refuge (400+ troops total).

    I remember in Native, the only way I could consistently get prisoners was to have masses of mace wielding troops or heavy cavalry.

    I just did a mission where I had to collect taxes for the lord of edinburyh. I got the thing where the villagers get angry with me and revolt and I had to fight them with sticks. But when the battle loaded there were a lot of weird question mark things, which I assume are broken models or...

    You should try verify cache or reinstall your game. I also use Steam.

    What kind of village attack that was? Farmer quest to save a village? Were you attacking a village? Or were you attacking bandits in a village (random event)?

    lag while fast forwarding on the campaign map seems to fixed. And I seem to actually get the rewards from the various unique encounters now (strange ruins etc)

    that's the thing, I never suggested adding in the feature - I simply asked if it existed. Frankly it makes no difference to me if I can work a lumber camp, there are better ways of making money early game - but if it is just placeholder text it should be just taken out, it would certainly be easier than adding the feature in.

    I don't why people are getting all snarky in this post. Its not like I posted a rage thread like "OMG WHY DOESN"T THIS GAME LET YOU WORK AT CAMPS!!!! THIS SUX!!" I asked a legitimate question about a conversation option that may or may not lead to more game-play features, considering the game has no real manual to speak of there really isn't any other way to find out other than to ask on forums. I don't see why some are getting so defensive.


    And to the dev that suggest that this should have went into suggestions or bug report, I had no idea whether the feature actually was suppose to work or do anything, so for all I knew it could have been a working feature that I simply didn't have the in game requirements to use.

    just did the rescue a lord mission and the highest tier guard in the fort, a Noble. has all the high end mail, helmet and shield - yet did not have any weapon other than what was either a seaxe or hunting knife. Let's just say it wasn't much of a challenge defeating him, even with the crappy monk's clothing and being armed with a wooden stick.
    In any case its definitely not just viking raiders being affected by this abnormality

    I've seen some of them have axes and swords, but yeah most of them have garbage seaxes.

    What's more hilarious is that many viking raiding parties still have massive amounts of farmers in them, like a party of 25 vikings will have 65 farmers fighting with them..

    so both the lumber camps and quarrys on the map have an option for you to ask to work for them. But at low level and high level, the foremen always say they don't need more people. So is it possible to actually work for them, if yes what are the requirements and what are the rewards?

    I stopped at a Farmstead to get some food for my army, but when I looked at the farmstead revee's inventory he had a whole bunch of cows for sale instead of food. The cows all had stats like a mount would, with a whopping 15 riding skill required and sub-par stats compared to horses and ponies...

    the only way to prevent it, as far as I know, is to let your troops rest in cities or your refuge if you have it built. As long as you are out in the open during the winter, your troop morale will drop, fairly realistic as winter was/is generally not a good time to be going out on a campaign.
  19. Archers refuse to respond to any orders during battle

    i should add that with 1.01 archers seem to respond fine if you order your troops to charge at the beginning of battle
