Post here if you are looking for a regiment or members.

    Hello everyone,

So I've seen the videos and I really would like to try one of those 200+ dude battles. It's password protected though. Apparently I need to be in a regiment/clan thingy or something?

What's the deal here? What are the rules? Who wants a noob? How big is a regiment anyway? What's it take for me to be a part of those 200+ servers?

edit. I'm on East Coast USA if that makes a difference. Pings look nice on the server browser.

    Noobs in MP

There are an awful lot of griefers/trolls in this game. Maybe I've always been unlucky and never had admin around. The kick function is a joke. They always just come right back in not a moment later. Really sad that I have to deal with these kind of people on an 'official' server. Any way to report them? I took screens but I dunno who to contact about it.

    Multiplayer just got really fun!

Yea I was having a lot of fun. The new sounds are really nice. I mean really really nice. Seriously I was pretty amazed.

Combat feels better for the most part. I actually found myself using the musket. I used to think muskets were worthless, especially compared to the pistol. Feels like they struck a good balance between pistol and musket now. I can still kick butt with melee and bows so the firearms haven't become overpowered.

I was NOT having fun in siege mode. Most maps seemed to be extremely unfair for the attacking team. It just felt like targeting practice for the defenders. Not sure what it would be like with more players, but I was on there with over 40 people and it was always a massacre.  I still don't remember map names but that castle one with all the indoor space was okay.

    Darker menus please!

This is the strangest request ever?

I had the same problem with TES 4: Oblivion when it came out. Others did too apparently. Luckily somebody made a nice 'darkui' mod for it and it was pretty popular. I just think it's dumb to make game menus such a bright color. I still remember those horid modless first days of Oblivion; wander around dark dungeon, open ui, face melt .

Sadly, I did not get used to the F&S menus after an hour or so. I always found it jarring.

Thank you Voso for the gamma tip. I actually didn't even notice that slider there before you mentioned it. I have no idea how I could have missed it so many times. Setting it lower is similar to lowering brightness however, and is not as desirable or as helpful as I'd wish it were.

Theoditus sums up the situation well. I can't turn down the brightness (or gamma or contrast) low enough to make the menus bearable without making the rest of the game too dark.

Ideally, the menus themselves would simply be a darker color.  Until then I'll have to keep on wincing every time I open a menu, click on a town, etc.

I just took a quick look at the game's files and the textures are all right there in the textures folder as a bunch of .dds images. Should actually be pretty easy to mess with them. I think at least I could open them and just darken them up a bit. I'd imagine that as long as the name is the same the game will load them just fine.

    Darker menus please!

I got to play Fire&Sword today and immediately have a huge problem with it; the menus are too bright/white. It hurts my eyes. I have to shield them and look away, then slowly try to gaze back at my monitor (37"). It's really ruining the game for me. I just can't stand it.  Is there anything...
