    It is hard, challenging and sometimes cruel but thats exactly by design :wink:
  2. Castles will have a Zone of Control?

    Is there any dev blog or similar to this? Will finally a castle located on a choke point prevent enemies from marching through?

    Since years i hope developers like PDX, Taleworlds, Creative Assembly and even Black Sea and Logbow Games would combine their knowledge and manpower to create the ultimate hybrid of Warband-Crusader Kings-Knights of Honor on giant map free to zoom like in Hegemony and battle orders and commands like in TW...

    If they ever going to make such a game, i hope my children are already grown and my wife has muuuch patience  :mrgreen: 


    The multiple tier and vassal system would fit perfectly in the game and even if Taleworlds would just use some basic options, modders could create in-depth civil wars and even the GOT-mods would be taken to a new level!

    Cannot confirm this...
    Sometimes I even have to remind them (with a little cut) that i am there.
    They fight each other every time i play.

    You can hire Farmers from the 'Reeve' in Farmsteads. They can then be upgraded along either the Sellsword Spearman or Sellsword Crossbowmen lines.

    In the latest release this is no longer possible!
    Farmers will stay Farmers till the end of days. (same with Poachers and Town Thugs)
    Don't know if intended or bug...

    The for me easiest way to succeed the first questline is to keep the Stark Men alive and recruit some Farmers and Shepherds at the Inn.
    With a bit of luck you can join a battle on the way to Winterfell and recruit some freed prisoners.
    Otherwise keep playing the usual way until you get more renown and then go then later to the village north of Winterfell.
    The Wildlings will be so kind and wait for your arrival before they attack :wink:

    A hybrid of Warband and CK2 would definitely the absolute best game!

    Iirc it s about 500-550 but it also depends on how you played. Resting or being enlisted doesn't count.

    You can trigger it easily yourself. Tick the option they do not invade and untick whenever you want after day 500-550. They will invade after short a time.

    In Warband even if a village is tied to a castle, the lord of the village is vassal of the king...not to the lord of the castle.
    I am hoping for a deeper feudal relation like:
    Capital (King Harlaus) -> Town X (Duke Clais) -> Castle A (Count Regan) -> Village (Baron Meis)
                                    -> Town Y (Duke Butterspoil) - Castle B (Count Muller) -> Village (Baron Smith)
                                    -> etc.

    No, I'm afraid there is only the king and the rest all have the same rank/title, though some have more influence than others. This was stated in the following video from March 2016; the question starts at around 6:00 minutes:



    Too bad...such a system would offer so many cool narratives and mod options.
    You could even implement a noble career system...plot against your liege-duke and claim the title for yourself or install a friend or father in law (as marriage gift)...so many cool possibilities...
    Did they mentioned WHY they don't implement such a tier system?
    I think it could even help the ai to act more reasonable...

    Yes you are right, we must wait how the system work they are developing. Since i am pretty sure, i will spent 99% playing with mods, i hope a feudel relation system will be at least modable...
    This depends how the clan system works. Is there only one tier vassal relationship or more...

    Different systems for different cultures would be even more immersive.
    But in general i think such a game really needs some sort of it.
    In Warband all Nobles seems to be only like "placeholders" ...okay the King and the Marshall had some special role but imo there was much more potential in the system.

    As a King I should only have to worry about my direct vassals!
    If I THE KING call them for a campaign, it is their damn job to rally their vassals and bannermen...not mine! When it all falls to my competence, for what i have gave these fools their position?  :mrgreen:

    Thanks but these mods are all in the viking age.

    I meant a real conversion f.e. to Calradia or the worlds of Perisno or Pendor...

    As the title say... I am looking for a new mod to play. Since i played the awoiaf which uses much of the VC stuff, i no longer want to play mods only based on Warband. It is so much better with the VC interface, ships, etc. So is there any? Like Floris, Pendor, Perisno, etc. based on VC?

    Iirc there is no possible subforum because these mods are not official and Taleworlds has no legal rights on the ASOIAF-content.

  18. Freeze to death after about 1 hour

    It was a broken small little fu&%ing capacitor on the mainboard.
    Really weird, seems this capacitor was only needed for M&B  :mrgreen:
    (no crashes in other games)
