Companions. Do they run out of arrows and do they use bows from horseback?

Horse archer companions seemed to be a bit bugged atm. If they run out of arrows they will stand still and just get knocked out. Even with a secondary and if told to hold fire.

Already looking forward to a Napoleonic DLC. Soon I hope!

I wouldn't expect any DLC until after the game is out of EA, so probably not for a year or more.

    [e1.1.0] Beta Feedback Thread

The amount of companions generated at the beginning of the game and their generation (visually) is 10x better. On the new patch I haven't run into an unrealistic looking wanderer.

Nobles on the other hand still could use some work. Don't get me wrong their visuals have been vastly improved but there are still some outliers. Also the lighting within the encyclopedia when viewing hero pages seems to have been changed. I think this change makes the portraits too dark and may need a look at.

    [e1.1.0] Beta Feedback Thread

With the new beta release I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread where the community can pick over the latest version and report back what they like or dislike about it.

Please make factions more willing to accept peace and and have that peace last for longer.

I've been playing a game as the southern empire. I'm about 10 years into the campaign and have spend all but 6 months at war. The majority of the time with 2-3 factions (most was 5). Only 4 factions are left (kuzaits, aseuri, and vlandia) and I'm in a constant state of 2 or sometimes 3 front...

    How the Auto-resolve calculated?

Only thing I've noticed is that cavalry has a much larger impact and performs better in auto resolve then most units.

ex. out numbered a vlandian army 850 - 500, they had 150 cav and won the auto-resolve but when i manually played the battle i **** on them.

    Do NPC Lords marry?

I'm sure this will be implemented in a future update, The whole family system seems pretty bare bones atm.
  10. Empress Ira

Hi, im going to buy a desktop to play Bannerlord is this enough???

Should be enough. I dont run max settings but I do use 1000 entities in battle with only some frame loss. (Seiges can still get very laggy if you get the pathing bug, sometimes fine tho). I'm running an i7-8700 and a GTX 1060 GB. So you should be fine. Upgrading to an RTX 2060 super soon tho and I'm excited.

Please slow down on the patches Taleworlds

Most of the stuff you add with those small patches has already been fixed by mods.
However, these mods often stop working properly with new patches.
But we need those mods, because they also fix other stuff.

So kindly bundle up the changes for a weekly patch instead.
Especially since you forced steam on us and patches can't be stopped there and rollbacks are troublesome.
If you go to the games properties in steam to can set yourself to a certain patch and it wont update until you take yourself off of it.

    This game is literally unplayable!!!

No issues here, I play on max battle size and only get a few frame dips in field battles. Some seiges can get a bit laggy but it's due to a bug. I'm only running with mid teir specs. (I7-8700 and a GTX 1060 6GB)

    Resolved [Game Breaking] Persuasion Bug

[e1.0.6] A few things I would like to see changed after 65 hours of play

After 65 hours I have a few ideas for changes that I think would help the game. Not new content but how things work in the game already. 1. Wars - As it stands right now wars last forever. It feels as though there are never any peaceful moments every time a war ends your faction just starts...

Linking prosperity with food production creates an inescapable downward spiral for fiefs

I found this too, Just got to fief management and settlements seem to always be in a state of starvation. I think this is related to the endless wars in the game also. Constant raids tend to **** up villages.

    Poll: Polearms and shields

Archers and throwables are super strong atm. Without a shield I find myself getting knocked out quite often pretty quickly until I have late game armour.

When picking companians to lead caravans, do their stats matter?

First there is no companion with any trade skill.
Second if you manage to add them focus point to trading they will start lvl up on it.

Companions seem to never lvl up skills they have at 0 no matter what they do but if you manage to add them focus point to one of those skills they will start to lvl up them.
smithing can level up from 0 without a focus point. maybe just some are bugged?

When picking companians to lead caravans, do their stats matter?

Should I pick someone with a high trading skill, or a high tactics skill, or a good fighter? Or does it not matter.
I honestly have no idea the only stat that i think would matter is trade, but its impossible to level for companions atm.

My thoughts on the Faction Snowball effect. Campaigns should go on forever!

Firstly credit to woodi for his thorough analysis on this issue which was posted here:
    LINK

That analysis was on patch 1.04 and showed clear faction snowballing issues.
In a similar fashion i have made 3 simulations on patch 1.05. I have posted the result in woodi's topic, but since we are no longer on patch 1.04, i will post these simulations as a single separate for anyone interested.

The conditions for the simulations are:
    - The simulations ran for 10 ingame years (840 days)
    - No player interaction with anything - just waiting at a town.
    - Simulated at 50x speed
    - For every ingame first day of Summer and Winter (42 ingame days), data was collected in correspondence with woodi's measure of faction power. This means number of towns for each faction was counted. The exception is simulation 1, where data was only collected every ingame year (84 days)
    - A screenshot was also taken at the time of data was collected to give a visual overview of the map status.

    --- Simulation 1 ---

    Days of faction wipe:
Day 43 - Western Empire wiped
Day 551 - Southern Empire wiped

Assuming these 3 simulations give a valid measurement of faction development, the snowballing issue seems to have improved with patch 1.05. Now there is no longer only one single faction owning the entire map at the end.
There are large factions by year 10, but no "winning" faction which was often the case on patch 1.04 and below.
Furthermore it seems to be quite random which factions growns into large powers, which looks like an improvement, as Battania and Khuzait seemingly used to be the worst steamrollers.

Its great to see that the developers have managed to improve upon this issue in only a few days.

However there are still a few concerning issues, which i hope will be looked into in later patches:

    1. Several factions are getting wiped out very early on. The worst example on this is in simulation 1, with Western Empire wiping after only 43 days. RIP Garios.
    2. It seems that no matter what 2 out of 3 Empire factions are more or less destined to wipe every time. This could be a coincidence having only 3 simulations, but it seems to be the case.
    3. Sturgia is a constant underdog. I am aware that this has been reported already in serveral topics, and i hope this will improve.
    4. Sometimes factions will conquer 2-4 towns in 42 ingame days (half a year) and almost wipe out a faction in very short time. This seems a bit more like blitzkrieg than medieval warfare.

Hope this information will help both forum users and developers.
Looks like the devs are getting there. Hopefully they can solve the early wipe and prolong the all out war phase so players can get going before anything too major happens.
