I meant, that all this discussion, which you revived according to my old post from the different theme, is off-topic.Jhessail 说:
Actually, his book reflects reality, throwing off the mask from the world’s economy. And this version is approved by many historical and ongoing events. One good example: Nicolae Ceaușescu was the only socialist political leader that was murdered at the close of the 80th and 90th . Ceaușescu decided to repay Romania's foreign debts. He organised a referendum and managed to change the constitution, adding a clause that barred Romania from taking foreign loans in the future. He also announced that the revolution of 1989 was organized by the foreign countries.Jhessail 说:
You are right in some cases, as “Falsificators of history” Stalin edited himself. But SovInformBureau was writing by its own.Jhessail 说:
I don’t remember the exact numbers, but the amount of Germans being trained was inessential to affect on something. And for both sides, German-Soviet trade wasn’t in the top of the list. This situation changed in the 1939-41.Jhessail 说:
Stalin offered to join the Axis? May be Hitler offered Stalin to join the Axis and Stalin refused?Jhessail 说:
This normal capitalist business is quite selective sometimes, isn’t it? Where is capitalist favourite principle “Money above everything” towards Soviet Union in the 20th, 30th? And usually that help turned out badly for Russia, bright example Poland in the 1918-21.Even if we accept this version, it doesn’t deny the fact, that German economy and heavy industry was revived only due to the US/British help.Jhessail 说:
Yes, why not? Moreover, all the Czechoslovakia (which was later disintegrated) should have joined Wehrmacht. Carpathian Ukraine those days was a part of Czechoslovakia and it would appear as a principal cause for the German-Soviet war. The turning point of all pre-WWII history was Hitler’s decision to reject Carpathian Ukraine’s offer to join Wehrmacht. Britain changed its policy on diametrically opposite only after this event happened.Jhessail 说:
It wasn’t the USSR, who initiated negotiations, so what is wrong?Jhessail 说:
The way it was originally written:Jhessail 说:
I disagree only with the last paragraph, as Finland would never unleash a one-on-one war against the Soviet Union. It is Obviously, that the USSR was agressor.Jhessail 说:
You are welcome.Jhessail 说:
The information is from the memoirs of Felix Chuev “140 conversations with Molotov”. Is it wrong?Jhessail 说:
Stalin’s government wasn’t a famine forecast organization. Grain export in 1931 (5.18 mil tons) is nearly equal to such in 1930 (4.85 mil tons), but as we know widespread famine didn’t occur in 1931. And what about the 1932 export (1.8 mil tons), it would be better to look at the per month export diagram (http://istmat.info/node/8843). Light blue line is a “total sum of 4 breads”:Jhessail 说:
In fact, government allotted food supplies, mostly for Ukraine, from the Fonds. It is proved by a huge amount of fresh declassified archival data (http://www.rusarchives.ru/publication/hunger-ussr/content.shtml). Archival data compilation about the Soviet help to Ukraine in someone’s blog (http://goldnike-777.blogspot.ru/2012/01/1932-33.html).Jhessail 说:

Yes, Brzezinski is quite a russophobian person and he is proud of his contribution to the USSR collapse. For example his Interview to the French media in 1998:
Yes, that wasn’t his “great discovery”. Actually, first note about it – “Falsificators of history”, dated with 1948.
I have no doubts, that you do clearly understand how the international financial system works.
I agree, it’s not free of propaganda. But I find the vast majority of given facts truthful.
I would call it patriotism, which has nothing to do with racism, chauvinism, etc. Only brainless fools (like Russian nazi and oppositionists) can shout “Stop feeding the Caucasus” and beating migrants in a historically multi-cultural country.
You are right, but I see no adequate reasons to admit Khrushchev’s propaganda.

Even if you are right about the ex-Soviet figures it doesn’t deny the fact that Latvian SS was mentioned in a huge amount of war crimes. Only brainwashed Nazi Latvians disclaim it.Roach XI the Magnificent 说:

Lol. What can you know about our media and Putin?
First – you didn’t put a question. Second – what was I supposed to answer, if the fact that Czechoslovak economy was stronger before 1938 is undisputed?BenKenobi 说:
It was a nice thing for the USSR, but Soviet Union did everything it could to help Eastern European countries to develop. And the fact that these countries were hostages in our geopolitical game with the USA is also undisputed. The circumstances didn’t let the USSR to act in a different way.

Actually there are some of them in Russia. Also I know reasonable English authors, but they are writing usually about the world economy. For example, bestseller: John Perkins: Confessions of an Economic Hit Man.

I have no possibility to check it out and if it’s true, the only thing I can say: “Sh*t happens”.
The most ignorant answer I have ever seen. We will celebrate the Victory Day, untill our country exists on the map. Of course some Russians commited war crimes, but that was on their own initiative. Soviet government punished soldiers for that.
What BS are you talking about?
Sure.
From those 30% of Russians - 34,6% are non-citizens (nepilsoņi) of Latvia, due to your discriminating passport getting procedures. In 2008 EU human rights organization provided public opinion poll: 25% of Russians in Latvia feel discrimination; 59% - in Estonia; 12% - In Lithuania.
That was another discrimination act.
If Slovenians installed monument to Stalin, they have had their own strong reasons, right?
At least you understand that Western countries are interested in Latvia only as a buffer state and for you to insult Russia. But what will happen when you will become useless for them??
It's indisputably. I'm against any revolution or separatist idea and if there would be some chances to avoid it, Russians just had to use them. Nicholas II was too soft to suppress revolution. 1905 year taught him nothing. We should face the realities.Danik Golovanov 说:
It's a little bit unobective to compare economics of Nazi Germany and Soviet Union. The USSR had no foreign help, moreover all the Western countries were unfriendly to it. Meanwhile Germany had a vast foreign help. USA revived it's economics by plentiful money pouring (Dawes Plan, Young Plan).
This colusion fits only first communists.
May be you do know a lot of historical events, but you are just unable to see historical parralels between those events.Jhessail 说:
Thanks for this great list, but i dont think I will find something unusual for me. My favourite historical author, to whom I fully trust, published one of his books in English. If you are interested, I can name it. May be it will open your eyes or you can read it just widen your horizon.
It's quite a praiseworthy thing, that you are teaching our history! I hope you do it without any preconceptions.

Then, those people should commemorate their deaths underground, like some Germans do nowadays. There is no need to build memorials.
Kremlin “propaganda” is more objective, than any other Western source nowadays.
My grandfather and 3 of my relatives participated in WWII. All of them, except of my grandfather never returned. Building memorials to Nazi is against any morality and it look like an ideological punch to our face.
We will see what will happen to your economics after the next global finance crisis with an outer debt of 145% (2009) from your gdp.
Lol. Soviet Union was full of foreign agents and many Bolsheviks from the “old guard” were recruited long ago. Spies usually appear during the war. Here is the list of some major agents, that were spotted during the Civil war era: Oswald Rayner (Made a final shot to Rasputin’s head), Francis Cromie (Failed to convince Russian admiral (Алексей Щастый) to get rid of Baltic fleet), Paul Dukes (Raised revolts, Operation Kronstadt),Sidney Reilly (just number one “James Bond”), Sir Robert Hamilton Bruce Lockhart (Ambassadors' plot). One interesting detail: Right after the assassination attempt of Lenin, Bolsheviks visited British Embassy, where they have found captain Cromie burning documents. Cromie was killed during the fire exchange in Embassy.
It was a straight reason for the war actions, while preparations for it started from 1890.
Where did you find nationalistic BS or what is wrong in my words? May be first, you should check the information?
But still the USSR (after ww2) was stronger than the Russian Empire and played much more significant role in the world. One more Stalin’s great service is gold reserves: October 1917 – 1100 tonnes, 1923 – 400 tonnes, 1928 – 150 tonnes, 1941 - 2 800 tonnes, 1953 - 2 500.
What tens of millions are you talking about? According to archival data: from 1930 to 1953 in all places of imprisonment died 1.76 million people. 681 692 were sentenced to be shot during the great purge. The larger part died from the famine of 1932-33 – about 7-8 millions.
