We are wrapping it up.
Let me take this opportunity to thank you all for the feedback and bug reports.
It's been invaluable and we hope to fulfil some of the wishes/suggestions - not just with this patch, but also later on.
I like to play a lot of FPS when in the shieldwall so I need to have a color scheme, I really don't like the icons because they block my vision too much in FPS and really kills the immersion. I know I posted this video already, but you can see how a color scheme helps and looks in action. I'm using my basic shield pattern color scheme mod in this video.
Where do you get your music from? I find most Viking themed metal doesn't really suit the game.
So far I've got Wardruna, Gjallarhorn, and some of the more folky/clean sung stuff from Manegarm.
I'd personally just love to see a modification involving greater Europe for a bit more of the ol' Viking conquest, or failing that, something set to Iceland would be rather grand, there's a lot of chance for good story there!
I'm so excited for the edition of Berserks/Ulfhedinn. Swear I won't be cheating to get a wolf coat.
If you figure out how to get the normal patterns for regular troops, let me know! I think adding normal designs with the more unique designs for highest tier/special troops would be the way to go, seeing as they could afford it after all!
That's pretty much what I thought the response will be, I suppose I'll try when I go off to make my own kingdom. It would just be nice to follow on from their relationship in the story from my playthrough, otherwise I don't really fuss about marriage.
Started thinking about it since I've restarted the story. It would be kind of grand to marry Solveig, though in all my Warband history, I've never tried to marry companions.
Is it possible?
I'd be down with having the shield changes, since the simple colours and patterns are far more in line with the period, though I do love the idea of fancy patterned shields.
I've met the Ship Captain that I saved back in Doccinga, the man appearing as a wanderer/random event.
Trouble being, no matter which option I choose, the scene keeps repeating, rendering me unable to continue the game, and I can't avoid it either, because as soon I begin to travel anywhere, he...
For the record, I don't find two-handed axes implausible for the late 9th century myself. I'm very much an agnostic on this issue. My gripe has always been the way those arguing for the inclusion of two-handed axes tend to dismiss proper historical debate.
My primary issue is that they claim "historical accuracy" as a reason for not including two-handed axes, while they simultaneously include things like [scale armour](http://i.imgur.com/ihThi2O.jpg) and trolls, in addition to very little item variety (particularly compared to Vikingr where, if my memory serves correctly, there are four different two-handed axes).
Scale armour (which I'd say is different to lamellar, but that's a point for another time) was around at the time, and with how far ranging the Vikings were, I wouldn't be surprised if a King had access to such an item.
I do believe Vikingr covers the entire Viking Age, hence the variety in armour and weapons, whereas VC is set in the 867 (or whichever year.)
No offense, but that just sounds like bad choices, or not really paying attention to the story? The prompt of having caught the prisoner should come right after you talk to the Jarl.
A lot of the quests, like the monastery quest, are moral choices. I choose the farmer over the church every damn time.
Some more animations would be cool, and is there any chance of being able to carry torches or have fires burning in night battles? Specifically attacking monasteries and the like.
Also, any chance of us seeing actual church looking churches? I want to be able to slaughter those monks in front of their cross.
