    I sat behind my soldiers, had about 5-15, give or take, die/be knocked unconscious, and then it ended... got a message mentioning horns that scared them away, then chatted with the champions.

    How did you get so far? After talking with the village elder I couldn´t find the champions anywhere and if I go to the hut I get slaughtered by a bunch of invincible berserkers.

    I imported a character I've been playing on and off since I bought Viking Conquest. Ran around for a while building an army, got some new gear, and got the message to start the quest.
