    Apologies for the harsh words, I forgot that thread bumping was a thing in support forums. I'll edit that comment such that any future viewers see a more constructive reply.

    The issue also persists on a fresh install of the game (installed yesterday) on a new computer whose specs I've listed below.

    It's been a year and this problem persists - worse than that, the player emblems are also often off center now.

    The problem is not how much loot killing lords gives; it SHOULD be rewarding to defeat a lords party. The problem is how easy it is to beat them, since their armies are always 60% recruits lol.
    Lords already have an 8x troop XP bonus because of this problem. The way they solved this in warband was to give lords instant troops instead of making them run around gathering men from their fiefs, but everybody hated that, so they've added this.

    We should be able to hold them prisoners as long as, if not, till the end of the war. I don't want to execute lords.

    Is it really? I've noticed when I have them locked up in a castle, after a few days it says "barter accepted," I get a few thousand denars and they disappear.

    I think the game forces you to ransom them after a few days, unless I'm understanding that wrong.

    But this is still broken IMO. They need to change this. At least make it so you can keep them prisoner for longer -- like many months if not years.

    Right now, the game makes executing lords one of the only ways to progress in a war unless you already have a huge army or many vassals. They always come back with groups of new solders that pop out of nowhere -- literally.
    I've never gotten denari when lords have escaped from my castles, they've just left.

    Yes, and that's the point. The game isn't supposed to cater to the player except in terms of UI or streamlined mechanics. It's allowed to be difficult.

    This is also exactly how the Greeks and Romans did so well in combat, and currently Imperial troops are pretty lacklustre - legionaries get domed by falxmen, archers lose to bandits, cataphracts can't even combat sturgian brigands etc

    In addition, something has to be done with hideouts respawning almost immediately after I destroy them. Another issue is different types of hideouts can spawn in the same area, as a result we have 2-3 hideouts in one area which in turn causes serious bandit infestation and adding looters into the mix we get everything covered in red parties.
    Please consider editing spawn time for a hideout of the same type in the same area after destruction of previous one. Limiting number of hideouts per unit of territory/allowing lords or militia parties destroy hideouts themselves after certain amount of time.

    Warband had manhunters to take care of looter problems can suggest implementing same system to hunt them down

    Will probably be modded in sooner than it's implemented, but very good idea. We already have minor factions, so this time there's potential for a manhunting minor to be added and its lore expanded.
