  1. How the Hell do I defeat Horse archers

The answer is probably the testudo formation if they put it in. aka a square with shields overhead fully closed in. that being said I really hate having to put my archers on hold fire when the enemy sends out their 5 something horse archers because if I forget while I'm chasing them down they will actually run out of ammo before they kill them half of the time. also, someone should do something about the ai turning the formation automatically they need to turn individuals direction but not change the formation. IDK why that's so hard but other games like total war do it as well. its a huge waste of time for a loose formation to rotate when the people in it could just turn around so much faster.
  2. Damage in this game is Ridiculous

this is interesting because in game, crossbowmen typically have longer range... just goes to show how far off from reality these ranged projectile calculations have been modeled.
no cross bows should have a longer range because they have a much higher draw weight. however once friction against the air causes the projectile to drop it falls much quicker than an arrow because it is heavier and less aerodynamic therefore the damage done in the last third or so of the total range will be less for a bolt than it would be for an arrow because an arrow is lighter weight and more aerodynamic. however a crossbow is still an upgrade technologically from a normal bow. in terms of per shot range damage and ease of use there is no comparison. the only area in which the bow is still superior is rate of fire.
  3. JOINT HURTBOXES and ARMOR HURTBOXES: an armor system that provide a way to balance factions warfare and make more deep the combat system(suggestions)

I completely disagree and my argument is as follows: In my own experience playing the game which steam has clocked at 325 hours mostly spent in tournaments early game in single player. from that perspective I think that this game is stylistically more dependent on character and item stats and traits than the players skill for its combat system as i usually find that my own abilities in playing the game are hampered severely by a low level character primarily in the realm of movement speed and attack speed. I feel like I would only be hampered further in the early and mid stages by such a complex system as i usually find myself struggling to get a hit off at all having to usually pass a shield and a developed opponents own faster attack speed and movement speed. which means that they can crowd inside my reach and attack fast enough to beat my counter attack or shield bash in some cases. having to aim for a much smaller target such as the neck and armpit in addition to that would be very aggravating until very late in the game, and i feel that the accuracy of the archers gives some clue as to how easily the ai would be able to attack those weak points on myself.

Archers are also my biggest gripe when it comes to armor effectiveness. the most basic padded armor is more than enough to completely negate a rock thrown by hand. the neck is the real weak spot when it comes to projectile damage not the head provided you have some kind of metal helmet on.

Also in real life the damage of a projectile decreases the moment that it begins to drop on a flat trajectory which means that crossbows have a higher range of "Maximum" dammage because they have a much higher draw weight than a bow but a bow has a longer effective range per pound or draw weight because of a more aerodynamic and lighter projectile. but both have much to great damage at long range against armored targets. the ai shoots at things at the greatest distance the weapon can possibly reach and hits them. I think a simple missile resistance increase according to armor tier is the way to go for that coupled with a negative missile resistance based on closer distance to target.
  4. Damage in this game is Ridiculous

so armor was historically upgraded primarily to provide protection from missile weapons so that more destructive two handed melee weapons could be wielded without a shield. I feel like being accurately targeted by archers at a distance which displays them as little more than fuzzy figures and still having a massive chunk of my health disappear despite wearing armor literally worth 100 kings ransoms is ridiculous. missile weapons are at their most effective before the projectile starts to drop after that they very rapidly decline, with crossbows having a steeper decline than bows due to projectile weight and aerodynamics.

my biggest issue with melee damage is how fast everyone else is on their feet. you literally cannot use weapon reach to keep enemies at bay because they move much faster than you do. in my opinion it really sucks beginning the game as a 24 year old infant who doesn't know how to walk and it seems to level up much slower than riding.
