  1. No Way To Learn Engineering Early Game

    @zykox @ConnorDAwesome agree that this is an issue. Regardless of if there are "workarounds" to this deficiency, the skill simply serves no purpose whatsoever in the game. Throughout the early and mid game castles are simply brute forced with ladders and a battering ram, and having enough engineering to reliably out-build a defending castle takes years. The skill is redundant in its current form and therefore barely adds any flavour to the game.

    Any argument to the contrary ignores the fact that there is 0 need to have the skill on your main char, and that even if you don't have an engineering companion you can still reliably siege down forts just throwing meat at them. Either make engineering a required skill and have ways to level it, or get rid of it.

    game is a half broken mess that didn't deserve the price we all paid for it. set battles are lovely and it's fun to adventure around the whole map for a 100 hours or so but there's a _lot_ of work left on this game

    I'm starting to feel that the rate of necessary feature development is slowing down, and I'd be more than happy to see new content, but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if we see a reviewbomb that drops this steaming pile of "Warband 1.5" into the steam toilet. Seriously Taleworlds, increase your rate of patching or you will see negative reviews start ramping up, I need this game to keep selling so that it'll finally "work".

    I haven't been selecting anything ever...I thought perks were implemented automatically once you reach the required skill level? I hope it's as simple as that...

    Has anyone else had any trouble getting the disciplinarian skill to function? The little box showing the imperial infantryman (when trying to upgrade a looter) shows up as red with a note saying you need to unlock the disciplinarian skill to upgrade this troop. However my leadership skill is at around 145 now. One of my friends that plays has had no problem with it, but I've seen online others have had issues with it.

    The solution I saw was to download and install the Community mod. Which I did but it still doesn't fix it.
    Don't wanna be that guy, but are you sure you selected the disciplinarian perk and not the other perk?

    Sorry i wrote console but it was Visual Studio's console. Not the game console. I don't know how you can check or even use the game's console (It do not really work for me)
    And sorry for the late reply, i forgot to set this topic as "watched" so i did not received notices.

    So basically to make it clear. In the game, you have an Class that is called `Hero`. Every hero in the game is an object of this class. In the class you have many variables that define each hero, like his name and everything. In those variables you have a few related to children and pregnancy, one of them is `isFertile`, it can be set to true or false and it's set at the hero/character creation. So basically in your save there should be somewhere this variable stating what the value is. But you are asking something above my capacity as how the game stores values is a bit complicated.

    I personally think it's way much easier to make a simple mod, turn this true than start editing your save.

    Hey buddy, what do you mean? Do you mean like physical muscles on the horses or humans? And what do you mean by conraction. What word are you using in your native language to describe this?

    They caught the other one first seems like, man we really need to help them _see_ the important bugs. They completely miss stuff and 2 weeks later grab a different report as if it's the first time they saw it.
  12. 150 influence removed to propose policy

    I was a bit confused by this with my first kingdom as well, but I think the game is just using the influence you would have used for a vote. So, when you're a vassal, you spend 50 to propose a policy, then it goes to a vote and the max influence you can spend is 100 to try to get it to pass. When you're the only one in your kingdom, it just removes that 100 influence without the vote page.

I'll leave this up here a liiiittle longer so that we can see if they might do something about the fact that you get dropped to -100, (think that makes no sense whatsoever) and maybe include som microcopy in the game so that people understand wth is going on.

    I work at a software company and we never answer posts with "bugs in bugs", I'm thinking TaleWorlds might be the same. If I were you I'd split the post into different posts so that a follow up discussion could be had for each issue that you have raised. Just my thoughts.

    These are more than essential, including the inheritance system. They are not just quality of life but I dare to say the whole endgame. I hope that it will be implemented and not be forgotten by TW.
    Totally agree, endgame is meek at best atm.

    I'd say they are talking about kingdom stability and balance, all the mentioned points are vital for having a somewhat stable gameworld after some time. no snowballing, no bankrupt lords, clans being (mostly) where they belong, no huge discrepancy in wealth, no starving towns without hostile interference and so on.
    Thanks for your thoughts, I agree with you but I wish they would have been clearer. It so often shows that english is not their first language, but i'm sure there's plenty of people that would love to help out pro bono with communication.

    I'm really worried about the fact that this post is one of those classic "expectation management" posts. I fear this post (even though it says it's not written in stone and all encompassing etc.) is intended to indicate what TW definitely wants to work on, but also by exlusion any omissions are right now not part of the prioritized backlog.

    Glaring omission in that case is companion party AI, garrison economics, and endgame quality of life.

    Unless the three things I mentioned are included in the horrendously titled:

    Simulation Health
    • Kingdom strengths
    • Clan resources (Money, Influence, Members)
    • Economy
    What do you guys think "Simulation Health" means? I frankly think it sounds like doublespeak.

    Someone mentioned https://steamcommunity.com/app/261550/discussions/0/2144217924390413596/ to unpack it with winrar but that seems very strange to me. Anybody heard of this?
