Yeah, as things stand now i am virtually unable to block without a shield. I have been practicing without again last night. I can defend against the odd strike now and then but i just keep getting destroyed anyway.

It just doesnt work for those of us who dont have the reflexes for it and locks away a sizeable portion of the combat.

It should be, some people need it.

A lot of people, myself included, dont have the ability to properly use the manual direction block due to a variety of reasons.
