    [1.7.0] Battlesize & reinforcement issue

    I'm running 75+ mods and Realistic Battle AI Module is the best of all. There are 5 separate mods that you could downloads.
    This Realistic Battle AI mod fix reinforcement problems. I'm running siege battle for 4000 troops 2000+ each side . Due to the 2048 crash limit . I could only bring up around 700 each side and the rest reinforce up to another 2k . my battle last 20-35 minutes each. It's not Disney game. Troops are hard to kill. I can't just run in and swing my sword wildly.

    Dear Taleworlds, Is there any way you can remove the 2048 unit cap on battle size for the game?

    I pray that Taleworlds actually read this and remove this limit of 2048 for modders and mod user. I'm not talking about base game for low performance systems. My system could run 20k troops on totalwar and more than 2k troops on bannerlord.
    I play many battles that has 2k troops , 1K mine and 1k AI opponents w/o horse though. I hope that Taleworlds could remove this lame limit 2048. so we the one w/ high performance pcs could mod mod beyond it. This crash is lame. I'm current running 75 mods and I mod the battering ram and siege tower to make the gate stronger (140 hits in 9 minutes) each battle w/ 4000 (1k each side+ reinforcement) epic. my siege battle takes 24-30 minutes.

    Sorry I can not remember exactly. Think it was the same as the files you linked, but for me the change did was not enabled on every gate. Only some of the gates got more health.
    yeah I'm trying to find your old post back in 2020. about the gate health. I tried that method but thought you might had a better one =). thanks.

    Are sieges too quick now that ladders towers are fixed ?

    I've noticed in sieges that it's far too easy / quick to get towers / ladders to walls .. this is totally unhistoric. First you need to fill in the moat / ditch, all while being shot at my archers etc. ie the Attackers should take casualties during this, but that doesn't seem the case in BL.

    What do players think ? Should sieges be longer somehow, or speed is right but attacker should take casualties before the assault starts ? or current quick sieges are ok ?

    I'm with you on this. alot more gates health. Attacker should take more casualties. And to conquer successfully the attacker need atleast 3x amount of troops. Once I got the first castle down. the game is over . I could conquere the whole entire game shortly after. If making castle siege harder for attackers then the game would be more realistic. There are many fortresses in the world that was famous for keeping invaders away. even 1 to 10 or 1 to 20.

    I agree that it should take longer for siege towers and ram to reach the wall/gate. I made a small change for myself once where I increased gate health by many many times so that it took a while for the ram to breach the main gate. Maybe they could add more gate health?

    Then again, if it takes longer for them to reach the wall it won't be any fun when the AI commands the siege, becase the AI never destroys the defenders onagers, so the onagers will just destroy all the siege equipment forcing you to retreat.
    Where do you change the gate health? I tried to change Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native\Prefabs
    Prop_siege_gate_outer and inner . Created new games and still break the gates 11/12 ram

    Need More Info Last soldier fell into wall.. battle cannot end.

    They fell in that room below between the 2 gates couple times. I had many games where the one defender fell into that make the game endless. Forced withdraw out of battle and retake to take out the last guy. I'm still trying to find out which castle has this problem.

    Tweaking siege engines and settlement defences values

    I'm opposite. I want to create a stronger gate so that in order to take over a castle or city, the troops need to be 3x stronger.
    Right now the small castle outer gate takes 11 ram hit to break and the big town city gate takes only 12 hits. So unrealistic.
    In history. Many castle city could defense their castle or city with 10% total army of attacker or less and still won.

    I changed the value in D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native\Prefabs\ props_siege_gates_inner, and props_siege_gates_outer and props_siege_gates_sally xml but It doesn't seems to work.
    I tried w/ new games aswell. Not sure what I did wrong or where to really change the gate hit points.

    I hope someone could create a Gates Mod.

    How to Make Sieges More Fun and Interactive (Long Post)

    Do you think Taleworlds read this or even listen or have the time to do this? Our community has been requesting these stuff for years. That's why we got bannerlord replacing Warband. The stuff you're asking is too hard for Taleworlds. Taleworlds don't have enough people to program the stuff you're asking. The modding community has alot more man and skills but they're just many bands w/o leaders and mods have to be rewritten for each major update that Taleworlds did. I hope that Armagan the Taleworlds' main programmer have the health to finish the game.

    [1.7.0] Battlesize & reinforcement issue

    As of now I'm running over 70 mods for 1.7.0
    Battlesize mod is working even though it's not updated. I'm able to run 1400 troops battle for both sides with horses (less than 2048 with man and horses) . Sometime crashed if I fight huge battle with Khuzaits because they have more horses = more than 2048. So my safe number to fight with Khuzait is 1300 total for both sides with man and horses. I tested 2000 troops out both side w/ only infantry 1000 each.
    my modlist pretty stable as of now.

    My pictures of 1400 troops only my side. Battlesize mod is working for 1.7.0
    I had "raise my banners" mod to hold the flags and changed config in "carrier" mod to let troops carry banners and sword (banners are the vertical flags) . Here are some pictures.

    I also would like to know the tweak to get total troops over 2048. I'll try up to 4000

    Why isn't the AI kicking and using the shield bash in combat?

    Wow this Post is dead. Anyways, seems like no-one care even after over a year. The AI is still dumb like a target practice. AI Still can't Kick, or Bash. And noone seems to request or post anything about it anymore. Sad Sad. I'm the only one in game know how to kick and bash LOL. I just got back into the game after a year break and seems like I'll leave for another year and hope for better when I get back.

    Any known mods to change NPC/Vassals equipment?

    I Use BUTR'S Player Switcher Mod to switch to any lord then I change their gears to my liking. Then I switch back to main guy to save. I keep doing this until I upgrade all of the lords through out games. I mainly upgrade Kings/queen and their family members /relatives to be unique.
    Don't start a war while doing this or it crash. I turn on Cheat to 1 in config then get in the game switch to the lords . When done I play the game =) .

    In Progress Main1.7.0: Companions "NO" Spawn In Towns/Villages/Castles

    Odd, in main e1.7.0 (no mods) I have had my companions gather for me in villages (more than 3 times), in preparation for Family Feud negotiation failure.
    In Castle they bunch up together. And Not in Town. Villages are ok.

    Any known mods to change NPC/Vassals equipment?

    I spent 3 hrs. try to find the right file to change the Faction leader gears . The Patch 1.7.0 removed their crowns in civilian clothes and Battle gear is really bad. I tried to modified directly into Sandbox and Sandboxcore but they hide the Lord files very well. can't find it anywhere. The Lord xms in Sandbox is linked to another file but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

    I know they'll fix it soon or later. I'm trying to get some attention that's all. I'm try to clean out some easy to fix minor problems so it's more immersive for new players and less complaining and dublicate crying on forums =).

    LOL, Need More Info. A perfect way to not fix a minor problem. Until many new players start complaining.
    This issue happen from start. No save Need it. Should be a quick fix. I voice out to make it better for new players.
    I just got back to the game 4 days ago after a year break. I'll try to mod my way out .

    I thought e1.7.1 is Beta. Lots of potential problems. Usually professional or Veteran players play to catch bugs. The report usually very specific to help debug teams to fix problems.
    If you wanna play normal game. get the 1.7.0 w/ some minor bugs but playable and if you're bored, try some mods =) while taleworlds fixing and implement those great mod ideas into main game. I've seen how Bannerlord evolve since day one. They accept many of my ideas into considerations.     It happens 2 times 2 days ago. I think Odrysa Castle was one of them . Forgot the other . My troops was set to 1000 . I had over 600+ and they had 300+ . I'm still running around try to duplicate more problems Since I know alot of remaking cities/castles/villages does come with bugs =). After w/ Taleworlds for almost 20 years.

    Yeah, I notice ever since they remake many towns, castles, and villages to be more diverse. Lots of misplacement happening in term of clothing/gears and place holder in cities.
