    Beta Patch Notes e1.5.1

I am trying to answer as much I can. Sometimes I get too much questions. Sorry for ones I could not answer. Its hard to answer all especially if questions are out of my areas (for example combat / perk / quest / character development / multiplayer / smithing / siege related questions) or if I am not sure about its answer.

For example today @Blood Gryphon asked what will npc lords do if they need horses to upgrade troops to cavalry like player (currently ai cheat there and do not spend horse but we can remove this cheat in future to balance things and get rid of one ai cheats) and if they do not have horse. He asked in that scenario will npc lords wait go buy horse or there will be some other mechanic. I am not sure what will be best there I need to think pros and cons I need to collect data and see big picture so could not answer his question.

I am reading all feedbacks but its hard to react all. Sometimes because of some special situation its hard to apply some ideas which seem good and if I try to explain why then development time is lost. Sometimes I also like ideas but I know it wont get approved so I cannot write anything about them. Also I am or any other dev are not in position to apply some good ideas directly. Nobody can do this in company. There should be a design decision approved at meetings by nearly all key designers and these are slow steps. Sometimes I do this without reaching all designers or get approved at meetings if I am 100% sure its a positive step but this is risky and probably unwelcomed situation in company. If this addition breaks some mechanics in game or get negative feedbacks then it will be huge problem. Also we can have language barrier sometimes. Lastly I am using unpaid vac at September so I can miss more questions this month but I try to follow forum everyday (30-60 min a day)

Thanks for your efforts @mexxico , all very much appreciated

    Beta Patch Notes e1.5.1

Yeah I've seen this as well. I wouldn't have thought that the minor bandit factions would have an overall leader?

    Beta Patch Notes e1.5.0

    Beta Hotfix (e1.5.0 - 26/08/20)
    • Leaving a faction while in an army is now fixed.
    • Fixed a crash that occurred when joining a kingdom as a vassal while being employed as a mercenary for the same kingdom.
    • Fixed a crash that occurred when Lord Wants Rival Captured quest was cancelled by a declaration of war.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the total issue count to be less and less over time.
    • Added meshes for the Highland Mail Shirt and Highland Mail Shoulders.
    • Clan game map selection list now consists of up-to-date maps.
    • Fixed an issue with white textures.
    • Fixed a Save & Load crash related to settlements that do not have an owner.
    • Fixed a bug that caused notables (mainly village notables) to disappear after some time.
    • Fixed a bug that caused a settlement ownership kingdom decision to trigger for enemy settlements if they were reclaimed before the vote took place.
    • Players can now only enter empty settlements if they are owned by their faction: the gate will now be down for enemy settlements, even if they don't have a garrison.
    • Fixed a bug with neutral heroes trying to create parties.
    • Fixed a bug in the loading order which led to instability after loading. This should resolve issues with "ghost" armies.
Great hotfix. Thank you. Seems to solve a lot of the current round of bugs. No time for now but I'll jump back in later on and see if it's all worked. Cheers.

    Beta Patch Notes e1.4.3

We have several crashes still at 1.4.3; we are working on them but all fixed in our side. We need to make 1.4.3 stable first. 1.4.3 was risky refactor patch so finally we are close to make it stable after 3 weeks.

By the way yesterday I started examining war - peace codes finally. Lots of problem there and trying to fix. Will inform you soon.

    Great to hear!

It would be appreciated if the Devs added: SHIPS

Yes, I recall reading some time ago that ships are part of TW's future plans for the game.

Bandits can't surrender whithout freezing the game in 1.4.3 beta.

    Ok we are checking. Thanks.

Edit : Yes. It happens and gamebreaking. Will try to fix today and I hope a hotfix will be ready for this also today.
    Thank you

SP Musket Era [WFaS] English Civil War

This mod is great. I wish I had discovered it earlier. A great conversion from WFaS and much better fleshed out. I've been playing everyday since downloading last week and it hasn't worn thin yet. I'd say this'll keep me going until Bannerlord has finished re-coding and starts to progress towards a more finished product. Happy to leave Bannerlord alone for the time being and embrace powder, pike and shot for the time being.

    [Poll] Just for fun

M&B games play very similar to the old Sea Dogs/Pirates of the Caribbean/Age of Pirates games. Apart from the obvious differences, one being mostly sea based and the other mostly land based, they share a lot of similarities. Parties (armies v fleets) move from location to location on a strategic map, battles are resolved on a battle map by the player as a general/captain, player characters level up RPG style, NPCs can be recruited as companions and given roles, soldiers/sailors can be recruited at settlements, goods and loot traded at settlements. Settlement locations can be explored, vendors to trade with, officials to work for. Settlements can be captured. All in 3rd person view...can't remember if the pirate games had 1st person view....it's been a while. Essentially the same gameplay model.

A 90-employee studio with ONE actively-maintained product is releasing only ONE THREE-LINE bug fix patch per week. Unbelievable.

Im not quite sure if I follow what you are saying here. However, if the game was released as being finished, Id be annoyed. Since it wasn't, I'm happy to have access to the game as is and I have enjoyed it. I have also told my friends who weren't as die hard a fan of the gameplay as me to hold off on buying the game.
Yes, and I have done the same.

I thought it's explained pretty clearly on the Steam page:

    Early Access Game
Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it develops.
Note: This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

    Seems pretty clear to me.

Right, it's really not that complicated. And I do get people being unhappy and annoyed but can we tune things down a lil bit? I don't think it is quite time to grab our pitchforks yet (especially since apparently some people seem to want to do that literally ).

    It really isn't that complicated.

    How to make tournaments interesting

@Wulfsdottir These are good ideas. I've had a few of these things in mind myself for sometime now, most particularly wooden weapons and prizes won by your party members.. Since I haven't been playing for the last week or so I haven't got anything else that comes to mind for now but will be sure to add if anything pops up.

    Also...
I just don't like to see how I slice off the face of my husband on Arena just to win mediocre level helmet  And maybe it's TOO much to ask but... maybe different cries during the tournaments? Does my Sergeant Crossbower realize that I will kick his butt as soon as tournament is over after he shouted "Die you bastard" at me during the fake fight?
    ???

Armour. Why it doesn't work and how to make it work

Great analysis, great post. An intelligent and constructive post amongst the multitudes of "why you break my game" posts I've endured in recent times. Whether the devs take it on board is another question, however thanks for sharing your well thought out and reasoned analysis and suggestions. I hope they do take notice. ? ?
